I've come up with a set of scripts that apply a 'tired' effect when party members have not rested for 18 (+/- constitution bonus/penalty) hours. However I've noticed the following:
- 'Free action' equipment prevents the 'slow' effect happening
- 'Immunity to level/ability drain' equipment prevents the ability score decreases.
- Wearing both types of equipment prevents the 'tired' effect happening at all (not even the closed-eye icon appears).
Is there a way of forcing effects to ignore equipment properties? Or is the only option to check all equipped slots for every party member and temporarily unequipment items with those properties?
I'm really trying to avoid the latter, as it sounds messy (unequip/equip sounds playing, dropping items if the inventory is full, etc).
Or is there a good reason why a 'tired' effect wasn't implemented in the NWN games (despite there being a 'tired' icon, and all player voicesets having 'tired' entries)?
