I'm really trying hard to decide between mage and rogue. I think I'm going to go with mage, though, if only to use the Staff of Parthalan (provded I ever get the damned code for it). Gender undecided though. Was originally going to run a Fem!Hawke, but am trying to decide. Going to use teh default appearances for my initial M/F runs though.

FEMALE!
- We got long hairs and unique models (sounds like Christmas already started to me)
Don`t know the class, but most likely warrior.

female sarcastic/evil mage. played 5-6 times at dragon age 2 on Igromir expo and tried all dialogs. evil was even more fun than sarcastic, just couldn't resist. and it seems, that my mage going to hate her little mage sister ... how was her name.. bethany or something.

I always play a female character first, usually with a morality that's typically "good" and diplomatic, although occasionally prone to making bad choices due to her emotions getting the better of her. I'm not sure what class I'll go with--I'm currently leaning toward Rogue.

I'd play a sarcastic Male Hawke who sword and shield. He'd probably be a good character too.

A rogue Lady Hawke, more than likely sarcastic and persuasive. Heh.

You know, I find it interesting that in every Bioware game since Baldur's Gate II, if I didn't play through the first time as a mage or rogue type, I regretted it. Some version of monk, rogue or wizard was my preference in Neverwinter Nights. The only "build" I liked in Jade Empire was the blue-bar-oriented build. I HATED the soldier in Mass Effect, and loved the Biotic. I still haven't played a warrior in DA for more than a few hours.
I just need to give up pretending I like fighters, I guess.

I was originally playing with the idea to have my first playthrough be as a female for once, but since learning about Isabela being in the game as a LI (and the change in appearance from DAO), my first playthrough will be with a male warrior Hawke.

I am a biotic god!
The only thing ive decided so far is that I am going to play a male and its not going to be a mage. I usually dislike playing warriors as well, but some of the abilities theyve shown sound like a lot of fun (I love charge-like abilities. Vanguard>all). If not, ill play what I usually play, a rogue.

I play almost every game like this as a stock male warrior the first time through, but after numerous playthroughs in various incarnations in DAO, I'm thinking I may break with tradition and go the two-weapon rogue route the first time here, maybe a ranger-type.

Male rogue, probably dual-wielding (always play rogue first), probably with the default face, but it depends what it looks like compared to custom options on the xbox. If I have the option, he'll be gay.
In terms of morality, mostly good, with the odd hard-ass moment towards those who give him some gip.

Rogue - dual wielding

Most likely a male Hawke 2HD warrior.
Most likely a complete and utter douchebag.

Male, custom face, dual-wielding rogue. Probably duelist assassin.
I hope that leather armor will look better and daggers are still the size of a shortsword.

I usually go STRONG my first time through any given game, (because if I don't know how to finesse combat, I can usually fall back on just whacking stuff hard) but the default Fem!Hawke face inspired me. So (unless inspiration strikes again), my first character will be Verity Hawke, a lawful good mage who will probably avoid romance altogether.

Female dual weapon rogue. Still not sure how I'll play her but I do know that I'm naming her Adair.

Probably a female rouge for me, dual weapon specialist.

Probably try and do my unscrupulous tactician female warrior Delana, am just trying to work out what imports to use for which characters as well.
The reason I say 'try is because my first playthrough of DAO was with a female warrior I intended to be a bit unscrupulous but she ended up being a bit of a softie, don't want that with Delana. She might end up being a Mage anyway as am thinking of basing her akin to 'Morgause' from the BBC TV series 'Merlin' and I did manage to get a female mage in DAO to be very unscrupulous, unforgiving and tactful in her actions.
Second playthrough will be with my male rogue do-gooder.

Male, either 2-hand warrior or a (blood) mage. 2-hand will probably win out if Reaver is available, mage otherwise.
I played a fairly virtuous Warden so I'd like to have my Hawke be a little on the darker side.
