how did you recruit legion of the dead? not that it matters for my current play through as i never had that option and am way past that already.
I chose Harrowmont and destroyed the anvil, i believed he would be a good king. was not aware this outcome would happen and i am a bit disappointed in that.
What fate did you leave the dwarvs too?

I destroyed the anvil and placed Bhelen on the throne, when i was playing at this character he seemed like the best choice, a strong king.
When i later decided to create a dwarven noble i saw the backround story behind the conflict, and i really regretted putting Bhelen on the throne.
I have yet to come to not destroying the anvil =)

As an outsider I ended up choosing Harrowmont and destroying the anvil + opening a chantry, which turned out to be a bit of a mess. My only regret in my ending, but I did feel entirely sleazy throwing my power around to solve a political conflict in another country for my own reasons, even though I obviously had to make fast work of it to get the allies. It was possibly my biggest "I'm a Grey Warden, I do what I must" moment of the entire game. (And then I was ridiculously selfish in my decision-making at/after the Landsmeet - I may not have been the best Grey Warden ever)
Anyway, I've started a play-through as a dwarven noble and oddly enough, even though Bhelen used and abused me in his political ambition, I was totally charmed by him and kind of hope when I get back to Orzammar that I can reconcile with him and make him king.

Bhelen is a true Machiavellian prince. I support him, just without the anvil.

Well i have a few problems with both of them to be honest never liked any of em. Though i sided with Harrowmont and gave him the Anvil on the first play through. Harrowmont is all for the nobles and he cares little or none for the lower castes (this ignites a civil war) he also dont like doing buiseness with the surface. With the Anvil he later on decides that no more dwarves should be sacrificed and instead starts to kidnapp people from the surface which in turn starts a war with Fereldan.
Bhelen on the other hand is more loved by the people but he is also more for backstabbing and often resort to schemes to get his way. I dislike him and i have to say playing as a dwarf noble i hate him but i am a bit proud of him for outplaying me like that. I dont know if he would be the better choice for the future as i havent finished the game with him as my choice yet.

Harrowmount, because he seemed to be a nicer guy. Not the best ruler though it seems. I destroyed the Anvil because I thought Branka was nuts, altough I'm not sure how/why she "gave" her people to the darkspawn, was was implied by her lover. The Anvil was too powerful to let remain intact, and who needs golems when you've got STEN to do the chopping for you, eh? EH?
I'm more of a democracy guy, and by that I mean that even though it might not be the most efficient (like a dictatorshio would be), it's the best option for freedom. Harrowmount may have sucked but that doesn't justify Behlens ways.
I also helped that one dwarf chick reach the circle of magi, and it led to a "circle" getting started in Orzimmar accepting those uh... maleficus, which lead to rumors of a new exalted march.
I was sorely disappointed in the fact that the dead caste quest did 0 for the story.
