ME is my type of science fiction, but I will give my opinion when the devs do something stupid. Biotics deals with mass. Reave and Dominate have nothing to do with the mass of particles and because of that they don't make sense within the ME Canon.

ME works best when they base their tech on real science or at least try and make it look like its based on real science. Make it good enough to where people can suspend their disbelief. Thats all I'm asking.

I don't worry about gameplay mechanics, and abilities, because they simply don't respect the lore.  They don't establish canon.  One moment Jack's punching through meter-thick steel walls with her biotics, and the next a Husk can slap her silly.  Charge is also problematic - accelerating one's self with biotics is a valid application of biotics, whereas passing through solid matter is not.

While I can understand your concern about why they would give Samara Reave in the first place, I, personally, wouldn't actually worry about it until it starts to show up in cutscenes, and in the Codex, as opposed to gameplay mechanics, which, as I said, do not reflect the reality of things.

Do you have a problem with Ardat-Yakshi being able to mind-control people?  What about the asari ability to join minds?  Those are related.

I like what your saying. Your right if it doesn't show up in the codex or in cutscenes then we really shouldn't worry to much.

"Charge is also problematic - accelerating one's self with biotics is a
valid application of biotics, whereas passing through solid matter is
not." As a vanguard I must defend charge lol. I don't have a problem with it for a number of reasons.

One reason being, no one said anything when Shepard was able to use the conduit to get into the Citadel when it was closed. That works for the same reason the mass relays work. Its mass free space to the traveler. To an outside oberver it looks as if the object is moving through solid matter, but relative to shepard, whos using charge or a ship traveling through space using the mass relays, there is nothing there but empty space. It all fits within established canon.

"Do you have a problem with Ardat-Yakshi being able to mind-control people?  What about the asari ability to join minds?" Yes and no. I can let go of the fact that an alien species can somehow meld to every species they come into contact with:blink:........ Even though it makes no sense lol. What bothers me is that they can somehow do it without touching them. lol I'd love for bioware to explain how that works.
