That's not so much pathetic as deranged though ...
*Nevermind my Rorschach poster, my point is so totally unbiased*

But it's that deranged outlook that makes him so pathetic in my eyes. I mean, the guy barely got info on the conspiracy that killed the Comedian. Whereas Dan (Nite Owl) managed to get more info from good ol' fashioned detective work. And Rorschach has the gall to call Dan lazy despite that? And let's not forget that he likes to mooch off all his old friends, instead of getting a job himself.

Now you mention McLeod, let´s add Connor outside the first film (there´s only that one to me). Poor guy.

The only strike I can level against Connor was his constant pining for his dead wife. The guy couldn't move on and love another woman. Duncan's flaws however, are too numerous to mention.

Superboy Prime... let´s ruin a character to take a jab at fans. One of the few things GJ has made I hate. Read the original CoIE.

I really think Geoff Johns wanted to take a stab at writing a deranged teen with godlike powers, but completely missed the mark. Too bad Alan Moore did it right in the 80's with Kid Miracleman.

@Blastback I'm waiting, patiently, to see. I have my doubts but.. I will wait.

I read a review of the script, not the script itself, and what they said happens is just perfect.

I hate to be hopeful. I will squash my hope, for now and wait. I would so love to see Deadpool done right.

Super Man. I simply can't believe he's still popular.

Not the least bit of creative thinking went into this character. Just look at his title : ' Super Man' Thats the best they could come up with?

And he's basically invincible, end of story.

Saren Arterius: A bunch of giant robot squiddies plan on harvesting all life in the galaxy. His brilliant plan for defending it? Turn us all into slaves so that said metal squiddies don't kill us right away.

Hey, he was indoctrinated by the reapers and the moment you made him realize how badly everything had gone, he owns up to it and has the guts to shoot himself. Besides he has some major badass moments both in the first novel and the game.
If you want to talk about pathetic heroes and villains in the Mass Effect universe I'd suggest Harbinger as a villain (I KNOW YOU FEEL THIS!) and maybe Graison as hero in Ascension (alhough he is a very interesting character, especially when it comes to Retribution).

I like Saren as a villain, Harbinger made me lol plus I did enjoy his one liners but then again he fell into the clishe catagory, perhaps he will go all Sovereign on us in ME3

Spiderman movie version: in the second movie his subsconcious shuts down his powers because of losing MJ for fear of hurting her. Not even trying to save people from a fire will reactivate them. His aunt is about to move out her family house for lack of money but he´s living away instead of there helping. He´s not keeping any of them safe as he´s still in regular contact. And by the end of the movie he would be back to the powerless status if MJ hadn´t gone to him. They just took the PP - SM dual life conflict a step too far.

Spiderman comic version: One More Day. Instead of facing the consequences of a serious mistake, he forsakes his moral values and also guilts his wife into pacting with a demon to save Aunt May. Not because he didn´t want her to die, but because he didn´t want it to be his fault. Guess his soul should go to hell, but apparently he won´t face consequences for pacting with the devil as somehow the devil also retconned the pact away. All very badly written, but I can´t read any comic from 616 universe with SM as a significant character after that. He´s shown as a hero, and he´s shown when things got hard, he isn´t.
