Hehe "You shall not PASS!!"

What about that architect-like figure that they are facing. Boss, no doubt.

I think it's just a statue. There were ones that looked like that in the first game if you remember.

The person is a "dude" because if it was a "dudette" she wouldn't be standing up. She would tackle Varric and smother him with adoration and kisses. At least that's the understanding I get when I read the forums. The standing person seems resistant to the charms of Varric.

What makes you so certain a dude would not react the same way as a dudette in this instance?

Oh that's true. But what if she's just like Morrigan or something and is in denial about her unholy love of Varric? Plus who said guys are immune to the chest hair?

It certainly looks like it *could* be a Qunari mage. Which would be really awesome. I hope we get a Qunari of some description as a companion. Impossible to tell who the others might be. How do you know it's a dude?

haha from the figure? you know it might as well be a female covering all her sexiness under a robe.

Do you guys see the way the dwarf is standing? I'm sure it's Varric cause he looks like he's ready to rip his shirt out.

But, damn, I mean, if it WAS a Qunari mage it'd be yet another apostate.

Initial response is jealousy. Especially because of the magnificent chest hair. Only the wisest of dudes can rise above such jealousy and embrace the greatness that is Varric.
I'm still stuck on the jealous stage, which is why I've only posted about 2 or 3 times in total in the two Varric threads.

It could just be a staff wielder wearing a horned helmet.

The person with horns, whether helmet or natural, still seems pretty big compared to the others.

Yes and BioWare tends to go with companions from unique backgrounds: Antivan Crows, Wtich of the Wilds, Fade spirits, Riviani Salma Hayeks..so a Qunari Mage would fit right in since well they are not considered normal among their people.

You just gave me an epic idea Anarya, which is that the interrogation between Varric and Cassandra ends with a hot make-out session. The two accept each others differences and come to see that their intense, heated talking sessions brought them closer together than they ever could have expected. They keep their relationship a secret of course, for fear they will be shunned and disowned. A forbidden love... *sigh*. They are the Romeo and Juliet of Thedas.

Well not normal without a leash and a handler.

Handler: Bad! BAD ANDERS!
Anders: *whine*
Handler: No chasing, kitties! BAD!

Oh dear. Watch your back, Golden-Rose. I think Cassandra's out for blood. Once she stops spluttering in utter shock, that is. :D

"Calm down, Cassandra. Are you sure you wouldn't like to discuss this over a nice cup of warm tea? Go on, take a seat. I shan't be a second!"

As for when, I imagine any time now. Cue Sylvius grousing how he considers pre-existing knowledge of party members to be spoilers. Yet we shall soldier on bravely, nevertheless.

Considering Sten, Zevran, and to a lesser extent Leliana; he'd have a point.

When will the next party member be announced? All I know so far are Varric, Cassandra, and Bethany.

Did we say those were all party members?

I'm aware of no such announcement.

As for when, I imagine any time now.

So umm, right now works for me. Personally. Just saying.

Well I can't right now. I'm far to busy wishing that Fallout New Vegas would come out today in Europe.. <_<

We can be pretty sure about Varric being a party member (he tells the story after all)...

The others, not so much...maybe Bethany dies, like in my dark and twisted theory...

And I hope Loghain isn't a party member, as I killed the guy. Maybe zombie Loghain?

I don't think Cassandra will be a party member. Bethany, we all know, will be at least in the beginning but for how long we have no idea. Varric should at least be around, if not a party member, since he's telling your story. Cassandra, however, is asking Varric about Hawke. If she spent time traveling with Hawke, why would she be asking Varric to tell her about the last ten years of Hawke's rise to greatness?

Just quoting you for convenience, Anarya..

About this Qunari mage, who says this is a mage? Because the figure appears to be wearing a robe? Remember the templar armour with the skirt? It could be anything really.
