I apologize ahead of time if this has been talked about to death.  So I was messing around last night in the suicide mission, trying out new things.  I decided to bring Morinth along for the final boss along with Thane.  Once I started fighting, the collectors started to fly in as they usually do; since my toon at the time was a Sentinel, I threw one of them in mid flight and had Thane throw the other which basically killed them.

Now usually Harbinger will come along and usually take control of any one of them, it's always random; but since there was only 1 collector left, he chose that one.  Right after I threw the collectors off the stage, I had Morinth dominate the last one and Harbinger took control of it immediately afterwards.  At first I thought Harbinger's control would override the dominate, but it didn't.  Harbinger turned around and started firing away at the Human Reaper.  I had to kill Harbinger soon afterward obviously, but every time after that I tried it again and it works what seems like 85% of the time.

The problem I found where it didn't work was Harbinger would try to take control of one of the Collector's that got thrown off the map right before they "died."  Anyway, I just thought I'd share this little bug I found, sorry again if it's already been pointed out, I just thought it was cool. XD

Yes it is a fun feature, but requires a bit of luck.
There should have been an achievement for doing it 10 times (or some other number), entitled No, I'm assuming direct control! :P

Watching Harbinger do his thing on his own pals is just priceless. One of the coolest things to experience in ME2.

how can you get that dominate to work in the first place on harbinger since doesn't it only affect targets without any defenses (shield/armor/barrier) and once harbingers defenses are down it dies

Think the OP means Harbinger took control of a Collector that was dominated and that effect does not go away when Harbinger took control of the dominated collector

It's down to luck - if you happen to dominate a defenceless drone before Harbinger does.

Edit: too slow.

That kind of thing is fun. You can also instantly kill Harbinger by catching his target drone in a Singularity (and probably other types of crowd control, but Singularity lasts long enough to make this easy). As soon as he has finished "Assuming control!", he disintegrates.

Its hard to do at first.then i learned a pattern.get a collector down to little health and kill off others as quick as you can and soon as it comes down to two.the one with the lowest health fastly Use dominate and kill the other collector.ive done it about 12 times now,it reallys works but i admit overall it comes down to luck, because of your squad possiblely killing the easiest collector first
