gog.com will make BG2 win7 x64-compatible (hopefully!) and will probably retail at little over $10. theyre expected to release it in the next couple of months... before we require players to own the game... with any luck ;)

in the worst case, it wont actually matter if BG2 actually runs... as long as its installed for future modules, then the audio/text content we need to rip will be available.

anyhow, the first module DOESNT need BG2 so you can play at least this one :)

I thought gog closed due to *legal* reasons? Hmm so they are back?

I don't really want to buy it again anyhow, I have base games + expansions plus two various collection retail packs. I also do silly things like buy all the nwn games/expansions,/gold/diamond/plat packs and all preumium modules. But mainly for Bioware games. Image IPB

I've played it on Win7 x64 and haven't faced any issues. Besides, you just need BG2 installed for the rest of this mod to work since all it needs are the files installed by BG2 :)

Thank you! I was worried...somethings win7 at least 64bit doesn't like. Dungeon Keeper sniff...nwn2 toolset etc.

Whew.

Oh wow. I remember seeing this listed in the projects when I browsed through. I thought it would be ambitious but probably not too polished, if it ever got released.

Then I saw the trailer.

Again, wow. Never actually got around to finishing BG2, finished roughly half of the first disc before life got in the way and before I knew it, years had past and Dragon Age was out. :P

All I can say is I'm REALLY glad I bought a copy of European version of Baldur's Gate Compilation some time last year or so. But never expected someone with a sheer talent such as mikemike and his gang to come up with a mod of this magnitude.

Simply stunning is all I can say

My first reaction was along the lines of, “Aargh! Get away from my nostalgia!” But what you’ve actually done here looks so, so awesome.

So awesome!

Nice to see it finally reach release. I have to say that just under a year ago, when the first seeds of the project started to germinate, I never thought it would actually grow into something worthy of public release. My hat's off to all the team for the mountain of work that has gone into the project over the last 11 months. I hope everyone enjoys it and I hope some of you are inspired to either start work on your own modding projects, or dive in and help us with module 2.

I've been looking at your website (nexus and the one you had before) every day since the project started. You guys seriously rock! It's a shame I don't have any artistic or informatic talents to help you :(. Keep up the amazing work!

Sadly, I don't have any money, and there are things I need before I waste money on a game that I already have for a separate console.

Like... to pay rent.

Oh my  God! Epic mod is EPIC!

BG2 with TOB is my all time favorite game (other Bioware titles are a close second), and I honestly can't recall how many times I played trough it.
Wow...just wow :crying:

I don't think these BG's ever made it to the consoles did they? But I do know what you mean about buying things over again. I can't be doing that anymore even if I want to give extra support to the devs.

mikemike// I read the Gamers Nexus review and it provides link to download for the mod. But it indicates 'Site error'. I suppose the mod is not ready for download yet?

One thing I REALLY wonder about...

Are you guys seriously aiming to mod the ENTIRE Baldur's Gate 2?

As you've said yourself, it's over 100 hours of playthrough. I'm really curous as a fan.
