This began recently while playing OC. All companions except one(Shandra at this point in the OC) seemed to reset to 'stand your ground' mode everytime I zoned, rested, or came out of a cutscene. Have to keep reissuing commands to guard or follow me.
Had just downloaded WRFan's OC fixes, and thought they might be problem, however I just downloaded Red Prison module by Seryn and began playing it, and similar behavior occurs. Only the required companion continues to follow me after zones, rests, etc. So, unless WRFan's fixes affect other modules, fault isn't there.
Any ideas? KInd of annoying to keep having to reissue orders. And very inconvenient when I run into a battle having forgotten to do so, heh.

WRfan's OC fixes rewrites default scripts. Since they are in the override folder, this affects any module you'll play. Delete his work and try Red Prison again. Then let us know.

Okay, removed all of WRFan's stuff from override, and problem persists. Still have it in a seperate folder, but not in NWN2 folder at all. do I have to delete it outright from computer, didn't think anything outside override would affect game. Or, did his rewrites become permanent, somehow?
Lastly, considering the rating he got for his fixes, they seem to be good for the game. But maybe not all of them?

Anything that is installed in the override folder will affect all modules and campaigns you play, including the OC, MotB, SoZ, MoW, and any community content. Removing them from the override folder should be enough to prevent them from being used.
My view is that mods that are specifically for the OC should be installed in the override only if they ONLY affect OC specific conversations, blueprints, and scripts. Otherwise they should be installed in the OC campaign folder.
I'm not using the Plot fixes myself. The volume of changes is simply too high in too short a period of time for me to believe that they have been tested enough. Also some of the changes are really WRfan's personal preferences rather than truly fixes.

Well, all of WRFan's stuff removed from override, but companion's odd behavior continues. No idea how this could be happening, moved it all to completely separate Folder. Guess I may be stuck with it.

You haven't accidentally turned on Puppet Mode, have you?

No, checked that. Did that once before, knew to make sure this time.

Are you playing from a save? If, so, you may need to transition around a bit to get the offending file out of the module.

Ah, missed the obvious again. Tried a saved game that far predated my downloading the fixes, and it works fine. So, you think eventually things will get back to normal in the OC?
