I am wondering if anyone out there has the desire and time to create a alligator or crocodile model.

I am currently working on a large swamp area, utilizing the overland map with a bunch of sub areas. As I look at this area it is missing the giant alligators jumping out of the muddy water and attacking any would be adventurers.

And if someone wanted to go really crazy and make a second variation for a dire alligator that could also be used.

I think it's on HFs "to do" list. I provided a complete set of Morelet's Crocodile photos for him (it's in my Photobucket Account) and I do mean complete. The crocodile died while I was working at a zoo and I had to pull him out of the water. I figured, "waste not, want not," and I took head, body, tail, feet, top, bottom, front, back, left right, texture, close ups of eyes, teeth, snout, nails, tail, etc. and I have them ready for the first enterprising modeler to make use of them.
[edit: as it turns out, the shots of his eyes didn't come out -- the eyes were filmed over and the nictitating membrane was in the way.  I was by myself, so I couldn't manage a good shot of the eyes.  I may have some others from before he died though.  I'll dig 'em up.]

The Morelet's is a small crocodile, but isn't that what scaling and stretching is all about? It would be relatively easy to make a crocodile into an Alligator as well, just shorten the snout and round it somewhat. Don't Let Kyle's Death Be In Vain!

I think HF actually has a model of a croc in the safari pack he grabbed a while ago. But as DNO said, his to-do list is long...



We need more modelers that are active in the community as I think ArtEChoke is also suffering from a long to-do list. Someone needs to fire up the cloner...

Poor Kyle, he was the only animal at the zoo that when he died, I nearly did cry. I can't believe I got all choked up over a reptile that would happily snap off my hand, but there it is.

Glad to confirm that the aligator/crocodile is as a to do. This is a large term project so waiting will not be an issue.
