If chefbobby's character kills Conner, does that make chefbobby malicious?  ... No ...

It is roleplaying, preferrably without metagaming, and it is just a game. It is silly to judge chefbobby because of the decisions he roleplays in a game.

Regarding the end, supporting the werewolves wasnt a good idea. But dont want to spoil to much.

I look forward to seeing how this plays out in DA2, if at all. I like a healthy werewolf population in my world (or one of my worlds).

Of course it doesn't make chefbobby malicious nor did I say it did.  The "You" in my post refers, of course, to a character who kills Connor in order to make his mother grieve.  So does the "malicious".

It's simple. You were misled. You don't know who (Dalish) was privy to the true nature of the curse. And you were sent in blind to a LAIR OF WEREWOLVES to possibly die and free the Dalish from their contractual obligation to the Grey Wardens. How can you not side with them? I usually kill the werewolves or lift the curse depending on origin. I usually kill Connor too; Magi Warden being the exception.

It seems foolhardy to invite zathrian into the werewolf camp and risk him pulling a double cross.

It all depends on how you role play.  I played one character that was more trusting and she picked the ideal solution, while my other character played as a cynic and picked the werewolves.

I've always gone with the elves.. my charaters always doing the right thing and bringing hope in a dark world to those who have none..
As far as Zathrian is concerned though I trust him completely when I bring him into the den.. if he double crosses me and the wolves there .. my characters would not hesitate to kill him for justice.
After all not only am I a Grey Warden but given the amount of combat I and my party have been through we are some of the best blades in all of Falraden.. he would be welcome to try but a swift death would be surely waiting for him.... assuming the other wolves didn't get to him first.

I tend to find alot of people are under the incorrect assumptions that the "GREY Wardens" are the "White Wardens". The Grey Wardens do what ever it takes to stop the Blight/Archdemon at ANY cost. Duncans actions should show you exactly how serious they are about this. They think of themselves as a nessary evil.

I generaly side up with the Werewolves because they are stronger ally then a small dahlish camp in the war. (Remeber the dahlish are seperate tribes, so its not like your helping all dahlish or gaining their loyalties like it is for the Werewolves)

Also, the cutscene that leads to the attack on the Dalish is epic.

I'm glad someone else said this.  For me the cutscene alone is worth it

It is an epic scene.  But fighting the elves afterward - I just can't bring myself to do it again, especially killing Lanaya. Image IPB That experience helped me decide that Darkspawn Chronicles isn't for me.

OH!  But, the Blightblood 1H sword you unlock for completing Darkspawn Chronicles is epicly worty it.  Not only is it automatically Dragonbone but it has a permanent poison buff on the blade.  I have Alistair use it in all my playthroughs since unlocking it and even my Duelist uses it, too.Image IPB

P.S.  It is kind of cool to see the Darkspawn from their side of things.  Actually helped me recognize the skills of each type so I can recognize the threats on the field more easily and quickly.  Also, seeing how things would play out of "your Warden" did not exist is epic in itself. Image IPB
