It's ONLY cheaper if you don't factor in how much shipping costs. It can be up to $60NZ (about $75 USA) just to ship it over. As much as EBgames overcharges, I don't think they overcharge by THAT much.

I just got mine through OzGameshop for $45 AUD, including shipping. Just gotta look around for those deals.

What store is it...? Are they accepted pre-orders? What's more, are they doing the auto-upgrade thing? Because if I can get the signature edition of this at reasonable prices... I will.... will... I will write a piano piece to commemorate the occasion. Yes. And I shall title it: "Ode to Bioware".

And also I will "squee".

EDIT: @Leonia41 - thanks for the recommendation; I was typing my comment when yours posted so I didn't see it until now. I originally disbarred them as an option since I thought they were Australia only but am VERY pleased to see I was wrong - NZ is included too!
Thank you so much!
(Maybe I should write an "Ode to Leonia41" as well...!) :o

We get screwed on prices all the time. It's entirely the retailers fault, they charge more because we pay.
I'm not aware if we can go around the retailer and still get a physical copy.

You Canadians are all racist!

NZ hasnt even gotten an RRP yet!

Gonna go into EBgames and be like "Yo i want my game pre-ordered now, Yo!" cashier will look at me like "dude you aint black" i'll be all "yo dont be hatin on me coz im white dawg" then he'll say "So what game did you want to pre-order" I'll say "DA2" and he'll be like "We still aren't taking those, now get out of our shop"

Gotta love it when your brother works at a videogame retailer LOL!

Discounts FTW!!! Got my 10% off V.I.P customer card plus another 5% when my brother purchases it.

Should be about 100-110 instead of 130-140 :D

They're based in the UK, I believe, so I think anyone can order from them but they are geared towards Aussies since our retailers are greedy bastards.

And it's 42, easy to remember as it is the answer to the question of life, the universe, and everything else. But most people just call me Leo. Anyway, glad to help, I think a few other BSN folks have ordered through the same store.

Sensible game prices at last - thank you Posted Image

This may be enough to convince me to preorder.

Aww shucks! I am a guy so if you are a guy than thanks for the compliment but no thanks ;)

I have bought about 5 or 6 games from them and they are very reliable. You just have to realise that their prices are only as good as the exchange rate which would probably account for the $2 increase in price.

Australian's being overcharged for their games is nothing revolutionary. Partly the problem is the fluctuating dollar but even when we're almost at parity with the greenback we are still charged a premium by a sense of collusion amongst game publishers/distributors. This isn't going to change short of government legislature but lets face it, that wont happen.

I guess we could probably get an investigation by the ACCC into the pricing structure of the various publishers in Australia to check to see if there actually is a sense of anti-competition going on, but the different publishers sell different games, so there's probably a reason there isn't already an investigation.

So for the Australians who don't check the sticky threads at the top of this forum, go read Chris Priestly's post. Nothing to do with DA:2 prices, but everything to do with living in Australia. :)

I hope it's not some special Australian edition.  O_O;

I'm gonna kick myself in the nuts if it is, because I've preordered the game, lol.

its $110 at Eb games for signature edition and $100 for the regular game.

what a waste. the game is way better as a whole in a tin case with all exclusives. the Australian version should be no different. if it is. America would only have it different signature edition. everything from Europe & the UK is the same with Australian game with all the extra attach for collectors.

The prices haven't changed between versions at all. The PC game has always been listed at $88 and the Console version has always been $108. The only time it differed from this is when it was only the estimated retail price, when those were listed the pc version was $10 cheaper but the consoles were $10 more expensive.

$99 us for the game. online on eb games signature edition ps3 & xbox is $108 But in stores is $109.95 eb games, Jb hifi was selling it for smashing price when sig ed was avaibile for $99 to bad it finished 11 jan I wouldn't care how much it cost unless its coming in a regular plastic piece of crap cover. hope bioware has second thoughts about how there going to sell it possibly at least in a steelbook with the map of free marchers. its not a collectible if the item is in a regular case that's taking it to far and really a waste of money for those of you that are collectors for games. Medal of honor tier edition & limited edition was terrible I hope bioware would not make that mistake. I hope they dont make mass effect 3 collector edition in a regular case that would be devastating.... Extremely a waste of money also
