Shadow of the Empire is the best chestpiece, it isn't part of a set, you can buy it in Orzaamar. What I did as a str/dex rogue was used medium armor for helm and boots then the Shadow of the Empire for the chest slot.

Shadow is the best? I was under the impression that the Felon's chestpiece in Denerim was the best.

what are the stats on Felon and where do you get it? I didn't even see it in my game. The Shadow of the Empire is pretty epic though, 2 dex, 2 str, and stam regen is pretty key on light armor.

Wade does make the best "set" but there are single pieces you can find that are stronger than the set.

The bonuses on Wade's Dragonscale armor are quite big when the whole set is worn:
+ No fatigue, can almost spam skills (this is the most notable, and probably least expected)
+ 3 strength
+ 6 defense
Plus, it's great when dragon hunting with the fire resists

Felon's chest is individually the best chestpiece ingame with all that stats. However, wearing a full set of Wade's superior(second) drakescale armor offers a set bonus which lowers the fatigue by a whole 10%.

Awesome thanks. I only need 31 strength though to get the best sword I believe because Lethality will take over at some point.

Shadow of the Empire in my opinion. This allows you to wear the (dont recall name) 5% crit gloves or the Red Jenny Seekers (15% bonus crit/backstab). There is also a very sexy pair of boots with 2 dex and 2 percent melee/ranged crit. Fatigue penalty will only be around 2.5 percent. It is worth it. There isn't really a good light set other than Wade's Superior Drakeskin and it is NOT the best unless you want a bunch of fire resist.

I believe the best is probably the Drakescale Set because of it's defence, stats and set bonus.

Lethality is not very good. There is no reason to boost your cunning higher than your strength. Get Lethality only for the bonus to crit and to get to Evasion.
Stopping at 31 strength is a mistake for a melee oriented rogue.
I am at around 63 Strenth with gear.
