Hello, friends:

I just got to the Act III Battle for the Crossroad Keep Bridges. When I had the chance to select my party, I chose Khelgar and Sand, intending to also choose Elanee and Zhaeve, but it cut to scene after the first two choices, only then allowing me to realize that I had only two companions for this battle.

Enter Sir Nevalle to inform me that I was facing a Shadow Reaver at the second bridge - without Zhaeve or Ammon Jerro present!

Rather than risk blowing my whole game, I decided to revert to an earlier save and choose Zhaeve first this time.

However, my question is, what would have happened if I had continued like that? Isn't it a design flaw in the program to stick you up against a Shadow Reaver without a scroll-reader present? They idiot-proofed every other place like this in the program, so why not here?

Thanks.

EDIT - I can't delete the topic, but I found my answer in a walkthrough. It seems you don't actually face a shadow reaver here - it runs. I guess I should have tried searching before posting. My apologies for the breach of ettiquette.

It doesn't matter who you take. The Shadow Reaver at the bridge just delivers a message, then leaves.

A better "What If" - and the one I thought you were going to ask when I read the subject - is "what if it was night?"

Iraps, why? Was there a chance of Garius-enhanced vamps?

Not actually in the game - but it would have made that supply camp more interesting - if less funny.
