I left redcliffe before the night battle and went back to find everyone dead except for bantin we met at the mill and I went through the mill while he went across the bridge, Right now im stuck trying to get into the courtyard because I can find the key so can anyone tell me where it is. Also will this have an affect latter since I let the whole town die?

When you enter Redcliffe and walk across the bridge, is there another exit to the castle where a wooden wall used to be? Do you have the Bann's ring?

When you enter the mill and go through the trap door, you'll start off in the basement of the castle. Work your way over to the stairs and go up to the first floor. In the northeast corner of the first floor, take the stairs down to the cellar. Once you're in the cellar, you'll take another flight of stairs up into the courtyard. No key is needed. I'm guessing you're stuck at the locked door on the first floor. That door can only be opened from the other side which you will be able to do later in the game.
