The female hoods are designed to be reminiscent of the Muslim hijab, I think, as I get a very Middle Eastern/gypsy feel from quarians in general. Their purpose, as someone else has said, is probably to cover up the aesthetically unappealing tubes you see coming out the back of the males' suits.

Those who think that quarians and tali have an ugly face will be disappointed. And for one main reason MONEY!!!...suppose they decide to make Tali unattractive.....direct consequence....they ruined a character (with many fans) and an entire race.No one then will pay attention on Tali,no one will buy tali t-shirt,no one will buy quarians related stuff....actually bioware will ruin the commercial appeal of a character that has a huge fan-base....and this is actually stupid because with a huge fan-base you can sell almost everything(see with Liara DLC).I'm sure Tali will look like a nymph and for one reason.....commercial power!!!

This is a simple commercial rule...make enemy ugly and friends nice....it's just psychology.

Nonsense. All of those fanboys will still buy the game, Bioware will get their money, and they can sell those Tali t-shirts before ME3 releases, making it all the more sweeter when it is revealed she is a 10/10 on the ugly scale, and makes ugly Shepard look like a model. It will simply be justice.

I'm not a huge Liara fanboy but I bought LotSB anyway, it was good quality stuff.

Ok i do not agree with you....but we will see....remember my words when actually you will see a nymph face....it is a simple rule of the market....every product need to be attractive in order to be sold.

There's no guarantee that we'll ever see a suitless quarian in ME3.

And if I see Tali is really attractive I will facepalm.

She must be uglier than asari, simple as that. They have hard skin, white glowing eyes etc. they just can't look human pretty. Something up to par with Drell and Batarians would be the best IMO

The best thing would be if they didn't show her face though. Maybe someone else's but not hers. The blind love thing and mystery is a key aspect of Tali

This model has been designed by a fan. It's not cannon.

This. So this.

Her having a bright pink skin would be classic. :)

Can you imagine the pure fanboy rage we would see? It would be great! Months of entertainment!

I'd pay the €60 just for that.

Sure, but her voice just hurt my ears in ME1 and besides, Talimancers going into bloodrage > all.

Just saying, you shouldn't really judge a character from her fans but that's just going off-topic, so I'll stop here. :)

I think that it's possible that Quarians have hair. And a healthy skintone. Just because they were a mask, it doesn't mean that it doesn't have filters that allow UV light to pass.

Going by Grunt's description of them as 'not soft,' I'd say they'd have some sort of chitinous growths, honestly.  Maybe they have a compromise: Predator-style dreadlock-hair.

Nooooo!! My delicate Quarian flower... WITH PLATES!!! :killsmyself:

It's really not likely we'll ever see an un-suited quarian, ever. But if we we did, I wouldn't want them to look deliberately ugly, as ironic as that'd be.

My hunch is that they'll probably make them look like elves in space, since they drew that parallel between tali and that chick from DA. :shrugs:

Or a reconstruction of an ancient Egyptian mummy.

I seriously hope that quarians don't have hair. They're dextro like turians, so they shouldn't look that human.

It shouldn't have anything to do with having hair or not. Heck, they should have been able to eat levo-amino food.

They have hard skin? I didn't know that. I sort of assumed that Grunt was saying that quarians have exosuits on that are difficult to penetrate.

In any case, I think hair (at least as humans have it) should be a human trait. Ears, too. I despise the pictures of Tali that make her look like a human with glowing eyes or skin problems or something. With the outline we can see of her face, she already looks human enough that hair is just going to make her look flat-out human unless she has a Zoidberg mouth or something.

...There are no major female elven characters in DA. There's Leliana. She's a human.

Uh, whatever. You're the hope of humanity, indeed.

I hope that we can get a look of the Quarians real physical appearance in ME3. At least Tali.

Them having hair is a possibility. Though I imagine the helmet hair would be atrocious.
