So Dahlia, I suppose you can't always expect to recieve all good comments about the mods, otherwise how can one improves if its always perfect? I saw the video in youtube, my constructive critict is if you were putting a lot of time and effort and interest in that mod maybe some some lines might have been good, I suppose the ladies might have enjoyed hearing the "I do" at least either from him or the character, also the coronation music could have been more appropiate because it was time for celebration since it was a wedding and the end of a troubled journey, the love song while yes is romantic it was something heard many times during the game. It just my opinion that an increased in the music (I think is called "crescendo" or something like that) might have given a more emotional response to the players that took that path.
All in all the cutscene was very good and certainly that it took a lot of time and people to finish it and it goes well for the end in origins as it was in lord of the rings when Aragorn walks with Arwen and everybody bowing.
Actually I have no problems with the scene as it is aside from a few shots and angles I could have improved.
Just so you know, this scene was not meant to be viewed as stand alone but rather as a final wrapup to a particular Origin Romance Playthough.
The song used was not the love song as you say, but rather a song heard only *once* in the game and it was sort of a memory of a certain Bard who sang in Camp. As far as Crescendo is concerned I created the climactic connection of the kissing music heard throughout the romance portion of the game with Lelianas song and designed it so that they would kiss during that portion of the music, (as a theme style) having the kissing music end the scene, bringing back memories of a long time romance at a gratifying game ending. (Plus the music combo in itself is emotional in my opinion.
The post coronation music had nothing emotional about it other than the army hero winning a medal, so I personally don't find that appropriate for any romantic emotion in the scene.
Since this scene was created with a musical background clip style (much like the lovescene) then talk wouldn't have been appropriate nor technically possible unless I manipulated the VOs, and I preferred not to make any unnecessary changes to the vanilla game and certainly not insert words into anyones mouth that hadn't been scripted by the original writers.
So as far as emotional response is concerned I have had countless comments of women in tears watching this video, (as I tear myself even after seeing it 3768326894327894times which is due to the combination of visuals and music together.) so, bascially I would love to get constructive criticism, but it seems you are providing me with inaccurate basal info in some of your suggestions. The VO is valid, only I am against messing with lore if I can help it.
BTW you were right about Lord of the Rings..that was what was in my mind when I made the bowing parts
