Well, For Anora it would mostly just be a matter of switching Fergus for Loghain. Of course, I barely know how to work the toolset as is so I'm just going to quietly pine away over here and play my female noble.

You forget the fact that they look at each other lovingly when walking up the Aisle, not to mention the entire romantic atmosphere, the loving looks vetween Alistair and PC. I don't believe such a romantic style relationship exists between Anora and Male Cousland. Anora/Male Cousland would be a political wedding if anything, and this scene doesn't fit the political atmosphere in my opinion. It would look rather odd in fact.

As it was political for Loghain with Anora and Cailan but she does mentioned that she loved Cailan, So I think she can love the male Cousland and still look very good and romantic between them. It would very good to complete the mod for the rest of the origins as an author of the mod for the coverage of the rest of the players population since there are surely those who would marry her instead of keeping the relationship with Leliana or Morrigan and having alistair as king.

While there's a chance the relationship between a HNM and Anora could eventually reach love, it certainly isn't the case at the start. I don't think Anora would act like the HNF in this scene if it were her wedding with the HNM.

Tbh, I have a hard time picturing Anora walking up the alley. I think her perfect wedding is her sitting on the throne and have the Cousland walk up the alley and be knighted and wed at the same time lol

It's actually pretty symbolic.

That's quite interesting you mention this. I was thinking the exact same thing in fact. Anora wouldn't really be walking up the ailse.Something just doesn't feel right about that.  (and the knighting thing is a great idea ;))

I tested the wedding mod with a HNF/Alistair political marriage, and the wedding mod did not trigger.  Unless something has changed since the release, political marriages do not get the romantic wedding.

Oh?
Well that's perfect!
Kudos to Dahlia for thinking about it ^_^

I don't think that was the purpose of this mod. You can only ask so much from modders.

Yeah, the "love" flag has to be activated as well.

Edit: Agreeing with Zjarcal.

Modders create their works because they are inspired. (at least that's the case with me) I was inspired by the Alistair romance, and felt it's ending was incomplete. I don't see why my mod is all of a sudden "incomplete" if I don't satisfy all the possible endings  there are (and there are a great many). If I were on the other hand working for a company, and produced an all encompasing product, then I think that would definitely be a different story.

And incidentally, I would like to add that if some passionate modder happened to come up with a male Cousland wedding or Leliana romance epilogue, how quickly do you think the modder would come to the requests of the female Alistair lovers of which so many guys don't really like (to put it lightly), to receive their much desired Fem Cousland Queen wedding? The modder won't be in any hurry, I assure you.  At least from my experience at how most react to Alistair in general.

I'm not saying I wouldn't do it for the guys, but it's not first on my priority list of things I am passionate about.

@Dahila

Agreed!

But, by quoting me it makes it sound like I was the one who made the unreasonable request or the comment about it being incomplete... :(

Didn't say it worked lore-wise, just mechanic wise to change F!Cousland with Anora, Alistair with M!CousCous and Fergus with Loghain. At least from my very vague understanding of DAO scripting.

Personally, I'd love a wedding/bookend scene for all the romances. I'm rather partial to Leliana so most of my Wardens end up with her, but even one is better then nothing.

There's no need for script in this case. I can simply replace the characters. But in all honesty, it just wouldn't be appropriate.

WHOA DAHLIA. I just now saw this thread and the video. I can't believe how polished, how detailed, how well thought out this whole scene was. Your artistry is simply amazing. Your strength has always been in the details and it's there in every tilt of the head, every sleigh of the hand. You can almost see what the characters are thinking and feeling. The warden is surrounded by people that love/respect her instead of them just standing in the background as filler. They're very much a part of the wedding, too. I was completely sucked in by what was happening to the warden. Fantastic spotlight. That's just amazing work. I admire your art style -- you breathe such life into the little details. Major kudos.

I didn't recognize the dress in the video, but that was just a beautiful choice. Did someone end up making a custom skin for it?

The Cousland bride gets a large selection of dresses that come with the mod.  They're all beautiful!

First of all, thank you :) It's been a really long time since that first group we were working on and I wondered where you've been :S
The dresses were custom made for the mod, check it out when you get the chance :D I want to also take this opportunity to thank you for your input way back when :) It was more than helpful :D

Edit: Tuppence lol you beat me to it:kissing:

Gilsa said it. I found the shot of brother and sister got to me almost as much as her and Alistair.

It wouldn't be appropiate for other players to have this scene with Anora and Male Cousland or other characters? for their playthroughs and their games at their homes?

The name of the mod is "Alistair's Royal Wedding"   not the "All Encompassing Ending" mod. You have to be rather full of entitlement issues to basically tell Dahlia it's "incomplete" and should be done for everyone.  THAT is inappropriate. It's not like she's making money on all the hours of work she's put into this. And I'm quite certain you don't have your cash in hand ready to hand it over.

As for Anora/Cousland yes, a romantic wedding full of loving looks and romantic moments is inappropriate for a POLITICAL MARRIAGE. Even HNF marrying Alistair in a political marriage DO NOT get the scene.

You have alot of nerve telling a mod creator what they should do with their work.

It would be wonderfully appropriate for you to learn the toolset and spend your own free time making one of those, since you feel that passionately about it.  I'd love to see it and would promote it, as would others here on BSN I'm sure.  Let us know when you're done.  :wizard:

@Lady Jess and Addai:

I couldn't agree more.

Seriously, if you want a proper HNM/Anora scene so badly how about you follow DahilaLynn's example and make one yourself.

If I had the skills (or if I wasn't so lazy!), I would make something for Leliana. But only for females! I guess then someone would call out on me for being "unfair" to the other endings...

Others have replied to you far more effectively than I could.  I just wanted to add that this mod was a huge amount of work for Dahlia, and it was a labor of love.  She wanted to see this ending for her character, so she learned the toolset and spent months creating this mod.  To imply that she is being unreasonable for not giving your character the ending you want is inappropriate and so rude!

You can't replace Fergus with Loghain, he can still be dead if the HNM marries Anora.

PS, my favorite part is when the Couses look at e/o, too

Edit - and I don't just mean Death by AD. On my HNM play through, unhardened Al killed Log and and rode off into the GW sunset.  HNM married Anora.

I'm a newcomer to mods.  I'd only played on Xbox 360 before.  What a lot I was missing!  So, I'm really late jumping on this wagon, but very glad to have found it!

I had to get on here and tell you "Thank you so much!" for this beautiful mod.  It really did provide the emotional closing to round out this amazing game.  You are so gifted and apparently have a beautiful heart to make those sweet moments so subtle but so important.

For example, I adored the shared moment between sister and brother as they walked down the aisle.  I also loved the happy look Eamon gives Alistair as he's watching his bride approach.  And I adored the look of question and permission exchanged between Alistair and Fergus.  Such a subtle and yet emotionally charged scene.  Very cool.

You even managed to convey looks of love/adoration between the bride and groom.  This was the first ending I had that really made me go "Awwww" and feel like I had the fairy tale ending in truth.  Posted Image

Just beautiful.

I'm checking out your other mods, too.  In fact, I discovered the wedding mod near the end of my game, so I'm starting all over with this intention.  There are some really talented modder's on these forums, and I'm so very glad I found this one.

Thank you for sharing!!

Welcome to the world of Dragon Age: Mods! It truly is sad that we can't share our work with console players, but I'm glad that at least one platform gives us that ability.

Though this thread is 6 months old, as well as post DA2, it's really refreshing to know that players are still enjoying the fruits of modded creations for Dragon Age Origins. Thank you for sharing such wonderful feedback!

I feel toally stupid, but I'm not understanding to what folder I should install this. It's a lovely, emotional scene, and, I must admit, one that I pictured myself for my HNF. Kudos Dahlia!
