I just payed for the Quarian to leave Omega, he didn't really belong there.

I did the paragon options, then bought his stuff and then gave him the money ... too bad Tali does not praise me, but I guessthe Elcor "paragon" option is worth those 1000 credits. I mean, credits are lying all around the place with nothing to buy later in the game anyway.

TIM didn't give me a requisitions officer.

The original Normandy requisitions officer is probably one of the richest men in Alliance ... I mean all the stuff I "sold" him to clear my inventory while I was on max credits. He got all this stuff for free, even some quality items like Colossus Armors, Rosenkov weapons, geth rifles and ton of level X upgrades.
Makes me wonder what he did with all those money.

I generally use the intimidate option on Harrot. I'm assuming that by doing this I'm not betraying poor Kenn. I'm really not sure if that's true though.

I've though about that, actually, but in the end my peace of mind is better by "charming" Harrot (it's really just an intimidate going in the opposite direction) and then paying his way off when I head back to Omega on disc two.

I don't know if I'd give either of them a permanent job, but I'd certainly send them to the Normandy and tell Kenneth and Gabby (and Tali, if she's around) to put them to work for several hours, give them a meal (if we've got dextro food around), and pay them.

I'm pretty sure there are some dextro food laying around, cause both Tali and Garrus are dextro DNA based.

Back on topic, I first persuade Kenn to give me a discount, then paragon intimidate Harrot to cut him some slack, and finally give a thousand credits so he can get out of Omega.

For my 'main' I intimidate for better prices and paragon intimidate Harrot (it sounded like something my Renegade Shep would say anyway). But I didn't pay off his passage. He won't learn anything from his Pilgrimage if he doesn't work it out himself!

I charm Kenn, then I charm Harrot after speaking with Kenn about the deal, both for the discount

and then I give Kenn 1000.00 for the +5 paragon, so if my math is right that's +15 from the three actions.

I've never tried the renegade options for this sequence though.

This. Exactly this.

I tell Harrot to buy the quarian out. Since Kenn is no longer at his station, I assumed the money he was bought out with was enough to make him leave the station.

I thought you lose your discount with Kenn if you give him the money to get a ticked off of Omega?

not true, the rebate stays

Plus, you miss out on the paragon points for helping him on his pilgrimage

usually (on all my 4 playthroughs so far) : Paragon on Quarian (agree to talk) , Paragon on Elcor, then after telling Quarian, buy his ticket off station. maximum number of paragon points, maximum discounts,
Besides, the Renegade option on the Elcor is just idiotic IMHO..

Me too.  Even my Renegade Shep felt bad for the kid.

He's lucky he made it rich and got out of Dodge.

If I had heard him say "Looking for supplies?" one more time I think I'd have strangled him.

Trade catalogs in ME2? Huge improvement. Huge.

I yell at the quarian that his prices are too high and get a discount. I then yell at the elcor to get another discount. Then I buy what I can. And no I don't give him 1000 credits from the goodness of my shriveled black heart. He ripped me off when I bought upgrades from him already!

First time I played I just gave him the money he needed on the spot.

In future playthroughs, I persuaded him to give me a discount first, then convince Harot to leave him alone, and THEN give him the money he needs.

I give him money to get off-world. I wouldn't want him on my ship, I'm a little nervous about letting him on my ship lest he take something from it. But certainly I'd encourage him to move somewhere better for his Pilgramage.

I usually tend to "charm" Harrot for him, by all his discounted stuff and eventually pay for his ticket off of Omega. It gets paragon points.

My Renegade just had Harrot buy him out though.

I still fail to see how threatening to break someone's legs is "charm" but...eh.

I know. But, that was the "charm" option.
