Hawke: It doesn't compare to your eyes!
LI: But where did you get it? We've been surrounded by darkspwan for weeks?
Hawke: Yeah...about that...
LI: Hawke...just tell me.
Hawke: Well...do you remember that Ogre from yesterday?
LI:
Hawke: With the nipple rings?
LI:
Varric: Well, if she doesn't want it, give it to me!

Varric: Well, if she doesn't want it, give it to me!I wanted the pair anyway. They accentuate my chest hair, don't you think.
If only I could do that..I would finally go evil.. and give everyone some fancy ass ring from some huge ass orger and then say I brought it for 100 gold

Not that anybody should be unhappy with getting pantaloons. One can never have too many.

And giving a collection of bones and half-eaten *things* to Wynne isn't odd?
Just a friendly reminder of where she'll be real soon.

Ha! Great stuff.
I would really love it if companions asked you where you got particular gifts more. Alistair did it when you gave him his mother's amulet, and I believe others might have as well... but yeah, more of that please. I would actually prefer it if there were less gifts in the game, and more (if not all) of them had at least some dialogue attached to them.

Warden: Here, a stone dragon action figure. I know you'll like it.
Alistair: Is this for me? Really? Wow! I'm--wow! Where did you find it?
Warden: In that pile of dragon dung over there.
Alistair: ...
Warden: What? It's not like the thing smells worse than you do.

What is inheritance but gifts from a dead person? or even worse an estate sale?

How would you feel if your parents' legacy ended up in the same manner? Passed as gifts from an enemy soldier to a friend of theirs?abat223 wrote...

My ancestors were nobility in the 1400-1500s, and my country of origin is Poland. My family has been plundered a great deal. I don't dwell on it, and these things are a part of our world.

On a lighter note, i would be a little weirded out if someone dug into some dragon poo and got me a gift

Anyway, I guess I've already made my point and have no desire to further press the matter. Thanks for indulging me.

hey, no problem. I can see your side of the arguement though. I agree it may be painful at first to witness such things.

So you wouldn't take the mighty sword of ass-whooping because there is dragon poo on it?

Not only would I take it, I'd leave the poop on it! dragon poop is probably very poisonous!
