The skirts work better on him? Is that a compliment, I wonder? (;

One day, the apostate and the templar will run from opposite ends of the Gallows to embrace each other. Or... you know... harrass Cullen and ignore your **** of a brother?

Yikes, second page tier for Carver. Very sad.:crying: I decided to stop by! I was already guilty of bumping of Bethany's thread, after chain-pimping the new chapter for the fic I'm writing (at a very slow pace, mind you.)

I guess there's just not a whole lot to talk about with the siblings, considering we get so little time with them. Who else is planning on dragging Carver along to the mountain..thingies, we apparently have to go to in the upcoming DLC? Since Carver can be used for it! You even get a fancy trophy/achievement.

Of course.  Both my Hawkes will be taking their little brother along!

Definitely.  I'm really excited about more Carver in the DLC.  (I imagine there will be important dialogue, otherwise why would we get an achievement for dragging them along?)

If we start the DLC from a finished game, though, will we be able to use Carver?  ;__;  I hope so.

I imagine we can still use Carv/Beth in post-game. Aren't they in your party at the end regardless? It just gets tricky if they died in the Deep Roads. It makes me wonder if you always have an option of using them, like in Act 2 or most of 3. Can we get a nice homecoming scene for Carver please? Even if it's just for the dlc!

And I can't state how much I love that templar picture. I always want more Cullen and Carver. <3

If you call the achievements 'details', I guess so. I only glanced at them, not wanting to spoil himself too bad. So all I know so far is that Legacy involves mountains, Carver/Bethany, and finally genlocks and shrieks. Just knowing we'll get more lil bro action is enough to sate my thirst for information

A question. If I bring Carver and Anders into the deep roads, will Carver survive? He will die without Anders, right?

Yes. This is true for Bethany, too. The sibling will only survive if you bring Anders.

Getting Carver to Friendship in Act 1 and managing the other characters is really, really hard :< I still have a lot of quests to do, but it's like his bar nevers goes out of rivalry.

Heh, I don't even bother. It's too much fun rivaling him anyway.

I think if I remember correctly if we use the post-game save it will mean that it takes place just before the showdown at the Gallows. I think I read that we will be able to play Legacy in any act. I hope they do something fun with recruiting the sibling. Like going to the Gallows and ask Carver if he wants to join, if he became a templar. If this takes place in act 2 he should be a bit worried to see his apostate sister walk around in the Gallows. Or maybe he could come home for a family visit. Or we will have to ask Cullen for permission to take Bethany on a trip if she joined the Circle.

As long as they're alive, the sibling should be able to join Hawke for the DLC, in my opinion.  After all, it says these guys are hunting for those with the "blood of the Hawke" or whatever.  So even as a Grey Warden, templar, or Circle mage, Bethany and Carver are also targets.

...ah, but now I've reasoned myself into a corner, since it's extremely doubtful Bethany would get special permission to leave the Circle.   I'm not sure if the templars let their recruits go on vacation or anything either, for that matter.  Still, even if we try the DLC in Act 2 or some other time when the sibling isn't available, I hope there's some dialogue acknowledging that Hawke isn't the only Hawke hanging around Thedas.

After you beat the game, and you're in the post-campaign, Bethany and Carver can still be selected no matter which path they took provided they are still alive. So, I don't think it'll be a problem, merely a gameplay mechanic.

I really hope Carv/Beth can have a family visit at the start of the DLC, then things get wacky. If not, I'll be quite sad. willow's reasoned it out pretty well. ..maybe being hunted by a bunch of criminals count as special permission to leave the Circle? Bethany is an enchanter during Acts 2 and 3 isn't she? They can leave on special missions, I imagine.

Circle mages can be allowed to leave. Wynne got permission quite easy, and that botanist we meet in awakening is also a Circle mage. Same goes for the mage in Witch hunt. Of course the Kirkwall Circle seems to be harsher tha most Circles. But if Bethany behaved well in the last years maybe she can be allowed to leave. They have her phylactery after all, so she can't escape. As for Carver he should be allowed get some sort of vacation once in while

I can't talk about the mage in Witch Hunt, as I never played it. But Wynne was a Senior Enchanter, no? She answear only to the First Enchanter himself, if I remember the Circle hierarchy correctly. That must make it easy for her to leave.

In Bethany's case, though, I'm not sure a couple of years of good behavior would make them forget 19 years of apostate-ness (apostitution, I daresay).
