I'm finally doing a run with Grey Warden Carver in it-he died in my last mage run. Did anyone notice that in that scene, Bethany has the ghoulish eyes and face but Carver looks like he normally does? I thought it was strange.

Psyched for the DLC. More Grey Wardens! I'm interested to see what they do with the family members or lack thereof, since you can apparently import from any point in the game and Hawke's entire family could be dead.

I'm doing a Warden!Carver too. I also noticed the skin problem. Bethany looks like she really got the Blight, while Carver was normal. Maybe it's a bug?

Yes. Depending on
where you are in the story and whether they went Warden or
Circle/Templar will depend on the explanation they give for coming with
you.

The DLC takes place before The Last Straw, so you should be fine.

I'm thinking that we have to talk to Orsino or Meredith if we want to get our siblings back for the DLC quest if they're in the circle/templars.

It won't matter. LIke Pseudo said, the post-campaign save rewinds the clock before The Last Straw happens. You still haven't sided with mages or templars, so Warden!Carv/Beth can join you, and Temp/Mage Carv/Beth can join you. The only way they won't be able to is if they died.

Yes. Depending on where you are in the story and whether they went Warden or Circle/Templar will depend on the explanation they give for coming with you.

Awesome, thanks for posting this!  I was hoping they would be flexible about this, since Act 1 seems a bit too early for this DLC.  I can go ahead and start my next mage Hawke without worrying that I need to lurk around in Act 1 forever. XD

Did anyone got the disappearing-templar-armor bug? My Carver is a Templar, but when I'm selecting party members he appears in his original outfit. Also, in the beggining of Act 2, a Warden armor (that I can't use) was in my inventory. I sold it.

I wonder if he'll stay in his original armor forever, then?

I'm not sure if this has been discussed, but last night I was trying out the different family appearences and finally got a brown eyed, darker skin toned Carver, Mother and Gamlen (Bethany looked the same), all still with the 'default' Hawke's family look.

If you choose the first two presets (excluding the ones you cannot manipulate) and then change the eye colour to either of the first two browny-orange colours and select a darker skin tone, you get a rather nice Hispanic looking Hawke family. I especially liked brown-eyed Leandra as her skin complexion also changed and made her look a little bit more like she has three grown-up children.

Me too. I hope they make all DLC sibling friendly. I drug Carver around all over the place. Love him! <3 He's my favorite companion.

The DLC should have some awesome Carver goodness, if the demo footage we've seen is any indication (though I've only seen Bethany so far).  And I found this gem of the comment in another thread from Lukas Kristjanson:

So . . . question: When playing legacy dlc, do you think Warden!Surviving Sibling would be a more interesting companion to bring along, or prefer Circle Bethany/Templar Carver, or does it not matter?
