Anybody heard about when this DLC is going to take place? They better let us take Carver!

Psyched for the DLC. More Grey Wardens! I'm interested to see what they do with the family members or lack thereof, since you can apparently import from any point in the game and Hawke's entire family could be dead.

Don't
know if this has been asked yet, but seeing as we can access Bethany or
Carver in the post-campaign save which supposedly takes place before the
final events, does the DLC have some sort of story line explanation for
the sibling being able to forgo their current situation or will the DLC
just go "oh hai guyz look whos back"?
Yes. Depending on
where you are in the story and whether they went Warden or
Circle/Templar will depend on the explanation they give for coming with
you.
Hurray! No restarting to Act 1 for me! I'm interested in seeing how that initial scene happens.

The DLC takes place before The Last Straw, so you should be fine.froogle345 wrote...
what i want to know is if i can access Templar!Carver even if i sided with mages in my post campaign save (doubt it unless they are reintroduced in a cutscene, which is my hope)
I'm thinking that we have to talk to Orsino or Meredith if we want to get our siblings back for the DLC quest if they're in the circle/templars.

oh i knew that, im just saying this because he is not avaible in my current party roster, which worries me as i know from previous experience that Warden!Carver and bethany in any situation rejoins your party and is avaible post campaign.PseudoEthnic wrote...

It won't matter. LIke Pseudo said, the post-campaign save rewinds the clock before The Last Straw happens. You still haven't sided with mages or templars, so Warden!Carv/Beth can join you, and Temp/Mage Carv/Beth can join you. The only way they won't be able to is if they died.

Awesome, thanks for posting this! I was hoping they would be flexible about this, since Act 1 seems a bit too early for this DLC. I can go ahead and start my next mage Hawke without worrying that I need to lurk around in Act 1 forever. XD

Milestone Prizes
Okay guys, last night I came up with the Milestone ideas for the last 63 hours of calendar preorder. Here we go.
$5000 - Alistair marker picture collaborated between caiterhe and I
$6000 - 3 drawings (Tuxedo Alistair, Sebastian/Anders Braveheart, Once Upon a Fade sketch)
$7000 - Commission extravaganza! 3 commissions available.
1 by Milli, a 1 character sketch of the Dragon Age hottie of your choice
1 by Kamidoodles, 1 character lineart with shadows added
1 by me, 1 character of your choice with flat color
$8000 - A full set of Dragon Age dudes headshots on Kraft paper with art by me, in this style: http://jakface.tumbl...d-with-my-super of Fenris, Alistair, Anders, Sebastian and Zevran.
$9000 - A print of my piece the Hero Of Ferelden from Zazzle.com! The 17 X 34 one, mailed anywhere in the world!
$10,000 Okay this is special, guys! For one, I will do a fully CG’d
special “CENTERFOLD” piece of the Dragon Age character (any of them) of
their choosing. Can be another character, can be one already done.
Printed out and mailed along with it with the full resolution emailed to
them.
ALSO - if I manage to raise $10,000, I WILL DONATE $1000 TO CHILD’S PLAY CHARITY.
So hopefully that is more incentive for you guys to keep spreading
the word. I hope you’re not sick of me yet!

If you choose the first two presets (excluding the ones you cannot manipulate) and then change the eye colour to either of the first two browny-orange colours and select a darker skin tone, you get a rather nice Hispanic looking Hawke family. I especially liked brown-eyed Leandra as her skin complexion also changed and made her look a little bit more like she has three grown-up children.
Anyway, an adorable brown-eyed Carver,

Looking forward to having some good conversations.... or just teasing Carver in legacy. Will do my first round of Legacy with FemHawke, Carver, LI Anders and we'll just see who get's the last spot. Can't wait to hear the new dialogue with him =)
Me too. I hope they make all DLC sibling friendly. I drug Carver around all over the place. Love him! <3 He's my favorite companion.

On an unrelated note, Legacy comes out on tuesday. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png[/smilie]And some choice words with Carver if he joins the Templars.
Any chance to squabble with Carver will make me happy.

Aww, too bad I am such a huge fan of GW Carver.
Oh I am too. I definitely prefer him as a GW, but this is Carver we're talking about. I'm sure GW Carver will give Hawke many opportunities to yell at him too.

The DLC should have some awesome Carver goodness, if the demo footage we've seen is any indication (though I've only seen Bethany so far). And I found this gem of the comment in another thread from Lukas Kristjanson:Lukas Kristjanson wrote...

But we were pretty cool by the end of the game there... We'll see, yelling at Carver for being a butt is one of my favorite things.leggywillow wrote...

But he's mainly a companion to the HoF, the fic is about the Wardens last calling(yes he's one).
