He acknowledgse Merrill and Sebastian.  He doesn't directly acknowledge Isabela, but when he tries to flirt with Isabela, Hawke will intervene if s/he romanced her.  I don't think he has anything to say about Fenris or Anders.

I think with Anders, Anders mocks Carver for being a Templar and remaining Silent, but then Carver responds that the only reason he remained so was because Hawke loves Anders.. Somthing like that.

I have a question for you guys cause im not gonna read this whole thread. If you don't let carver rejoin your party in act 3 is he missing from cinematics and the party selection screen in legacy?

I have to say something abut Carver, never had I such a opposite reaction to a character from what I expected... when he was first shown I was with those requesting Bethany to be the surviving one...

After Accepting Carver, and playing the game

he has now become one of my fav characters, and I like him tons better then bethany (I do gotta say I haven't finished a playthrough with Bethany yet..)

He's pretty awesome, I decided to let him become a grey warden in my first playthrough (with much pain at first, cause a templar mage rivalry between Carver and Hawke would have been interesting, but I think being a Grey Warden fits him better and gives him more purpose... something he wants..

(Theres only one issue I have, with both siblings I feel that their banter with companions is sometimes lackluster, and the complaining from companions against carver is a bit annoying though.. )

Though I really like Fenris, I am afraid he has to sit out for a few dlcs....

Well, Merrill never seems to realize what he's asking so I doubt the actual date ever happens.

I about died laughing at the conversation with Carver at the end of Malcolm's quest when I picked the sarcastic option. I'm not sure whether I like that one (bickering and Hawke insisting on getting the last word) or the diplomatic option (a little about Bethany and Carver admitting he misses his family, even Hawke sometimes).

And for once, even diplomatic Hawke sounds irritated.

I saw the sarcastic one on youtube. It had me in stitches. I love the long staredown before Hawke's compulsion to have the last word overcomes him.

Hey guys, I know I haven't posted in this thread before but I adore Carver! He is the perfect combative little brother everybody likes to tease, but you love him anyways, well sometimes. 

Anyways, I haven't seen any posts about it, but the question is about the DLC legacy. I was wondering if it was just me or did anyone else notice that Carver does not get a sepcial item from finishing the side quest Malcom's Will, I  noticed Bethany gets a staff called bloodline but Carver gets well nothing expcet a nice lecture for joining the templars by my Hawke.

So I wanted to ask if anyone else noticed Carver recieves nothing from the dlc, before I head over to the Legacy tech issues thread and ask the developers if Carver receiving no item is a bug or not.

I've only played Legacy once, but I didn't notice Carver receiving any special item. I would assume that he should get one too if Bethany got something.

I'd report it. It may very well be a glitch. If it isn't, they'll let us know at least, right?

LEGACY SPOILERS FOLLOW (for anyone who hasn't played it yet)



I loved Carver in Legacy! The best part about the DLC was taking him along and hearing what he had to say, I really missed him after Act I. I've played it with both Templar and Warden Carver and they both had their moments, but Warden Carver is still my favorite. So much love.

I thought it was hilarious how much Templar Carver seems to dislike the Wardens, though. He called them 'freaks'. Further proof that if there was ever a rip in the space-time continuum and the two met, both Carvers would probably dislike each other and instantly feel better about how their lives ended up. ::snort::

I wish Hawke had reacted to hearing about the Calling from Warden Carver, though! Seriously, NOTHING AT ALL to that information? Not even an eyebrow raise?? My heart was breaking for my Hawke who would probably blame herself, and she didn't even respond to it.

Also, did anyone else's heart break for Templar Carver? There's the part where he said 'you didn't need me' during the end convo, and then there's a banter with him and Sebastian where he obviously is regretting his decision to be a Templar. So sad.

I spent most of last night taking everyone with the two Carvers and going back and forth on the banter spots. I wish he'd had different dialogue with Merrill depending on his profession, since his flirting with Isabela changes depending on what happened to him. Also, I love that if Aveline is in the party when Isabela flirts with Warden Carver, she gets all protective. She's so awesome.

Hey guys, quick question for you...
Is it possible to max out carvers friendship? I found a list of quests on the wiki with his approval and have only managed to get him about halfway through friendship by the end of act1. Thing is i know he gets approval if he gets to come along to the deep roads, but i want him to be a templar, is there any way to max his friendship as a templar?
I want to do a pro-chantry team for legacy eventually and i just think he'd fit better as a templar then as a warden.

I just figured if Bethany gets a nice staff, I would think Carver deserves a item as well, considering he was alot more entertaining to bring along through out the dlc than Bethany. I like Bethany but her writing was so bland in the dlc imo. Bringing a Templar/Warden Carver, a romanced Anders, and Varric, with a sarcastic FemHawke made the DLC 110% better, their banter right at the beginning is one of my favourites and really funny! (Legacy Banter in coming)

Hawke: "Oh I'm sure this is all just a misunderstanding". "Later we'll all have tea and we'll laugh".
Varric: "Oh, your name is Hawke!  I thought it was 'Locke'!" *Throaty laugh*
Carver: "Yes we were looking for some other combination of general and ringmaster."

Funny thing, my pro-Chantry mage had a harder time of getting his friendship than my pro-mage mage. He's actually rather anti-Templar in Act I.
