I really want Carver back for a companion DA:3. He's the best
Agreed! And if we play as a new protagonist in DA3 I want him to be available for romancing.
Yes! He needs some love!!

I'm curious, I have only done Legacy during Act 1. I know if you are very careful and then with Legacy it is possible to get Carver up to 100 friendship. But of course the last +15 comes from taking him to the Deep Roads and then turning him into a Warden. So...
My question, is there ever a chance to have the 100 friendship conversation that you can have with every other companion if you do Legacy later? Or just the post-Legacy family reminisce?

Good to see somebody else discovering the awesomeness of Carver.Estelindis wrote...
I know I'm kinda late to the party, but I've just taken a mage Hawke past Lothering for the first time and yikes, Carver is awesome!
I mean, wow. I heard so many complaints about his character that I imagined they must be justified (in spite of past experience informing me that many fans hate characters I love, like Kaidan and Carth, and call them "whiny" for no good reason I can see). But he is clever, forthright, and hilarious. He calls people out when they should be called out, yet has quite a dry sense of humour for such a straightforward guy. Seriously, I started this playthrough to romance Sebastian (since that requires no flirting with anyone else, so I thought I might as well start a new character if I was going to backtrack to chapter one), but I think that getting to know Carver is going to be the best part by far. Mind you, given that Aveline is my favourite companion, maybe I should've guessed I'd enjoy the other companion written by Lukas just as much.
Hooray for Carver!

I much prefer him to Bethany because
he's not afraid to voice his opinion. I like his outspokeness; he's not
some insipid "yes-man" following Hawke around. He just feels way more real.

Ok. I just started another playthrough, and something is driving me insane!
So I'm cruising around the docks during the day with Carver. One of the NPCs must've said something to him because next thing I know, Carver says, "Yes and no. ****** off!"
Does anyone know what he was reacting to?

The dock foreman says, "Strong back on you. Can you lift, and are you cheap?"
Carver is either my favorite or second favorite companion. I can't decide. I think he's pretty awesome to begin with in Act 1 but just gets better as the game progresses.

It's growing pains. He's still getting used to being on his own. He's also living a life that was chosen for him, but it's one he believes in. He'll get there eventually, but he's going to chafe a bit until he does.Giggles_Manically wrote...
You know... I used to think Grey Warden Carver was awesome.
Then I imported him into Legacy... now I like Templar Carver a bit more.
Both are still a bit of an arse, but wow... Grey Warden Carver....
HOW DO YOU LIFT YOUR NOSE THAT SODDING HIGH!
