Bhahahaha! That chin! I don't even know who the guy is, but he looks real fruity. Is he related to Hawke?

@Ankuu: Probably an NPC costume. He might be/is a redshirt, he doesn't need something unique.

Am I the only one that can't view that "glorious" image of Carver? Darn it, I need to know how herpiderpcious he is!

The name of the thread is "The Carver Hawke FanThread" and you can't work out whether he's related to Hawke? Really?

I wonder if (oldest sibling) Hawke ever feel jealous of the twin connection between Beth and Carver.. I hope there's a twin connection between them!

First goal when playing Dragon Age 2: Keep Carver alive no matter what. I always wanted a little brother.

Random thought: But how did Carver get so big and musclely? Lothering is mostly a farming community and glorified trading post. Bethany and Mage Hawke being trained by Papa Hawke make sense. I would kind of like some class-specific dialogue like mentiong Warrior Hawke training Carver when they were younger.

Or maybe they just learned from the templars, which would be deliciously ironic. :P

Farming is pretty labor-intensive. It is entirely possible he got that buff by working a farm.

Nah. It's from all the running away they did, after they pranked the templars ;)
Those Hawke children. Such a nuisance.

This.  Especially when you consider that they probably don't have much modern farming machinery in Lothering.  You tend not to see to many small and weakly farmers.

Fair point, that was a bit silly of me considering I had to work on a grandparent's farm once, and hated it. Nowhere near as fun as Harvest Moon makes it seem.

Still, it does seem like they leave Lothering with not a little bit of skill when it comes to fighting. Maybe their farm was on the outskirts of Lothering, thus more prone to bandits or animal attacks? Would make sense to me, as apostates want their privacy.

Oh, I am sure they can be.  I have the pure optimism towards siblings that only an only-child can have, after all.  B)

I would think Carver got big and strong from doing manual labor and farm work in Lothering.

Also, if Hawke is a warrior ( male or female ), one could think that Hawke trained Carver in the warrior arts.

And, if Hawke is a female mage, then that makes 2 apostate sisters in the family. Carver probably felt that he needed to grow big and strong and train to be a warrior to protect his sisters from those evil templars.

Aww! That's such a cute thought! I love when little brothers defend their big sisters! I teared up the day my little brother first hit someone on my behalf. So sweet!

I can imagine a 7 year-old hitting a 25 year-old and you're tearing up out of hilarity.

What i seriously want to know is why Carver doesn't have an armor, Hawke changes the peasant clothes to armor in the trailer. I hope it's not something fixed like in ME2...and on another note, i hope that armor if available for mages!

By the rules of "less armor is more protection" Carver is actually better protected than Hawke.  So Carver is actually better than Hawke.  It's clear.

Beards counter less armor, though.

It can also be a factor in Carver's death at the beginning.

I can see the scenario where the party is confronted by the Ogre and Carver rushes forward to defend his sisters and mother ( despite their protests and warnings ).

That being said, if it's possible, I would like to be able to keep all of my family alive past the opening sequence.

Based on the new Rise to Power trailer, it does seem possible that both Carver and Bethany  make it to Kirkwall with Hawke.  However, that could also mean that mom dies instead........  Posted Image

I'm pretty sure the whole family makes it to Kirkwall.

I mean, it's the moms side of the family thats in Kirkwall. And who knows if that family over in Kirkwall would even know who Hawke and his/her siblings are without the mother around.

Carver looks like a school-boy wimp though. I really REALLY hope that Hawke can make some older sibling bully taunts at him.

You have to remember he isnt going to always look like that, he will most likely age and become a man over the ten years.

Maybe he will be more handsome than the not so handsome Varric. Posted Image Just sayin.

You're right! We have no idea what kind of hairy power he's hiding. :o

Chins must be the redshirts of Dragon age. The bigger the chin, the most likely that person will die.

In my country people at the countryside look exactly like that. Farming makes you skinny but powerful and muscular...exactly like Carver. You won't end up like Arnold Schwarzenegger tho
