I was watching that new gameplay footage where you control 3 characters and was thinking that which sibling survives might depend on which one you choose to be in your party, maybe?

If I recall the other day when the Rogue gameplay was uploaded, there was a full party. It had Aveline, Carver, and Bethany in it. Maybe Mom Hawke would die, but then again we've never seen anything that suggests she's even a party member.

Well actually I watched it again and I noticed that halfway through the video they change screens (Flemeth appears out of nowhere for example). So I think that the first half of the video where you see the combat with Aveline, Carver and Bethany is BEFORE the Ogre smashes Carver's head, while when Flemeth appears is at the end where we don't really see Carver

Just viewed the vid. Is the choice between Carver, Momma Hawke, and Aveline's hubby (Wesley? I forget)? If so, Wes is paste, and Carv wishes he was.

Yay, it's good to hear that he doesn't look as derpy in the actual game.  He is extremely cute, though; it's a shame I'll be playing as his sister.  Boy do I feel like a hypocrite now, though:

Why are so many people assuming you have to choose who will die in the blightlands? There is

absolutely nothing that suggests we can. It was hinted that Carver can live and that is it.

I hope the whole Hawke family can make it out, along with Aveline.

All of the mean spiritedfulness in the forums toward Carver has left us, his fans, as cruel and viscious people and we quietly long to see Bethany die to death until she is dead.  We don't have any evidence, it is true, but our dry, cold, grainite hearts demand to polished with her hair and wrapped in her skin.

Also, it just kind of makes sense you would choose one over the other.
