It would be pretty surprising if they changed the way Carver looked. I know he gets made fun of a lot for the screenies of him, but I find his expressions puppy-like. It's cute!

I'm startnig to think we're getting close to the end of the companion reveals. We have about.. 4 now. Not counting the twins who may be temporary companions. If we have at least two for each class, we need two mages left. But with the SE companion, who knows.

I just want something more substantial to go on with his character. I keep hoping they'll be the next profiles up on the website, but nope.

that is only because he is.
before Hawke came to ferelden he worked very hard in the army...

I have to say, it's ironic that Carver can have a naive/childish expression in most of the screenshots and still have arms largers than my skull.



That's hardly a complaint.

Wow, Bethany-Baby, I know Carver's arms are better than your breasts, but you don't need to kill him.

Nah, Carver just acts like there is coming blood out of his head. He has a great poker face.

It's pretty crappy becaaause when i made the border i forgot that the bg here is dark >< And it's 1 am...

He's there for exactly for a second at 0:51-52. The fact that I remember him is proof that A.) I've watched RtP too much and B.) I've followed this game too closely. 

That trailer is still interesting, because it shows both Carver and Bethany running into Kirkwall. Plus Carver with Mage!Hawke and Isabella. So who knows, maybe they are full-time companions.

But I can't tell anymore, things may have changed since then and the developers sometimes like to mess with us and make things foggy. We probably won't know until the friggin' game is out.

I have 2 ideas on why Bethany is with "mage" Hawke and why both twins were shown entering Kirkwall.

a) Till one point in the game development they were both available; after that they changed it.
That Hawke is not a mage. Why? See below.

In the very veeery early stage of the game, warriors were seen wearing that robe, mages were not yet refined and had a blue robe. Later, the robe was "called" for mages and warriors got armour. Here are pics to show the development.

Also, question. Do we know for sure that one sibling dies? Or do you just start the game with only one sibling, the other only existing if you make another Hawke of another class? This has always confused me somewhat.

I think we start out with both, then - depending on your class - either Carver or Bethany dies while you're fleeing Lothering. So both are there in the beginning, but one dies off.

Bioware's being tricksy. All we know is that if you're a Mage, you get Carver. If you're Rogue/Warrior, you get Bethany. I put the italicss there because we don't know the context of how we're getting them. They could be temporary, Lothering escape only companions. Or they could be full companions in their own right.

We know Carver can die while fleeing Lothering, his head smashed open like a grapefruit by an Ogre Dejuicer. We don't know anything else though. It could be a trade-off for another companion, it could be because you're a Warrior/Rogue.

We've seen both Bethany and Carver in Kirkwall, but it's always subject to change until the game ships. So we don't know if Bethany ever dies. I could swear we've seen gameplay of Hawke with both Bethany and Carver while fleeing Lothering. He was a Rogue. But like I said, always subject to change.

Only one? Hopefully both could die off in the beginning.I've never been one to have family along on the adventure to be a champion and it'll be another overused anti-hero choice for my Hawke.

It sounds like it, but Bioware would probably give you the option to leave them at 'camp' most of the time, and/or be less-than-pleasant to them when you're with them.

As much as I love Carver, I can't skip out on my rogue playthrough. The game isn't even out yet and Bioware's already forcing me to make tough decisions.
