So what's left:

another mage/rogue (a human male LI  for sure)

then Bethany/Carver! - mage/warrior

Then there's the redhead human male warrior that was in Rise to Power for like.. a second. So who knows how many we'll end up with.

He's there for exactly for a second at 0:51-52. The fact that I remember him is proof that A.) I've watched RtP too much and B.) I've followed this game too closely.

Well, I'm the younger brother in real life and I'm afraid I'd might relate to Carver. Making his only line of dialogue "DERP" would be too uncanny for me, I'd relate too much to him.

Bioware's being tricksy. All we know is that if you're a Mage, you get Carver. If you're Rogue/Warrior, you get Bethany. I put the italicss there because we don't know the context of how we're getting them. They could be temporary, Lothering escape only companions. Or they could be full companions in their own right.

Ahh, okay, so it's never really been clarfiied exactly what happens. Good to know.

I am the older sister as and i like to annoy him from time to time even though i love him. But do not worry, he pays me back.



That's why i am really interested in the Carver-Older sister relationship. I can relate to it.

One of them dies according to your class. If you are a mage you get Carver, otherwise you get Bethany. In the exaggerated part you get only 1, the one that fits your class, but in the normal part they both appear and one dies along the way to Kirkwall.

Is this the case or does it depend on Aveline?  I haven't been keeping up with the boards that well, so I'm not sure which one is correct.  I thought it was Aveline that was the deciding factor, that it's more of a choice between Carver and Aveline than Carver and Bethany.

I hope it relates to Aveline, honestly.  I want both my siblings.

That's good. I thought I maybe missed a post somewhere. At any rate, I'm still going mage so I can have Carver on my first run. I can't wait to customize my Hawke. I'm wondering how Carver and Bethany are going to turn out now.

Well since Carver died in the demo i presumed Bethany dies as well (when you are a mage). But no it does not depend on Aveline as far as the devs stated...
