THAT SOUNDS DELICIOUS. WANT. Especially if they run off to do Templar trainign together.
It's official. I'll ship Carver with anyone, because it all sounds fantastic.

I think that Carver will probably plan to do that but will decide againest it because he can't betray his sibling.

Well, see, I envision it happening one of two ways:

1) Carver thinks that Blood Mages give "good" apostates (like his siblings) a bad name, and joins up with the Templars to specifically hunt maleficar. He either doesn't realize that most Templars don't distinguish between the two, or he believes that he can reform the system.

2) Over the course of the story, mages begin pushing for more and more freedom, and innocent civilians get hurt. Carver actually wants to betray his sibling (especially if Hawke supports mage-freedom) and joins up with the Templars.

Both scenarios spawn from Carver's desire to "prove" himself.... and both scenarios would, again, cause me to have a good cry.

I think it's likely that a driving force behind Carver will be a desire to prove himself as a man, especially if Hawke is also male. I also think that there will be some kind of jealously stemming from the fact that both his older sibling and his twin sister are mages.

Carver/Isabela would be a great pair of general awesomeness and buttkicking in my opinion, that is if my hawke wouldnt be so overprotective of his last remanining sibling to actually let anyone get near him. poor thing

As for pairings, Carver/Aveline sound pretty good couple (they can compare each other's arm muscles xD)

It's emblazoned with the Grey Warden insiginia.

I think it would be really cool if Carver became a Grey Warden! But what if Varric made it up for the "exaggerted" story?

Oh gosh, I'm so worried that's he going to betray Hawke somehow because of this. The protagonist's brother turning traitor is something I've gotten used to as I recently watched both seasons of the show Legend of the Seeker, and twice the poor hero guy got betrayed by a brother, who did it because they were misguided and thought they were doing the right thing or some such nonsense.

I think I'd ship Carver/Merrill. They're just... too cute together. Carver/Isa is hilarious to me, but for a different reason. I can totally see my big brother Hawke trying to save Carver from being seduced by Isabella beause he thinks she's a maneater. Then it's turn into some weird love traingle. I'm pretty sure that's been used as a movie plot though. Carver/Aveline is cute too but just... so many muscles in that relationship.

I'll be heartbroken if Carver turns traitor. If that happens though, I really hope we can reconcile. I don't want to kill my lil bro because he thinks I'm endangering the family by being a mage.

Personally, I really hope they don't go down that route.

It's the old bait and switch. He really really looks like someone who will betray Hawke. He won't.

And his legendary/ultimate armor doesn't have a Templar insignia. It has the grey warden Insignia.

What better way to prove himself as a man, distinguish himself from his older sibling, and ultimately become a force in his own right, and spend his life fighting the ones who destroyed his home and killed his sister?

Join the Templars? Hell no. Carver will be a Grey Warden.

He is, after all, one of the only companions whose 'spec' isn't available from the start.


I am surprised only a few are paying attention to this. Carver's legendary/ultimate armor is the same armor used by the Trailer Warden of DA:O.


Right down to the little multicolored bit on the chest/stomach.

I keep thinking that it wouldn't surprise me at all if Carver/Isa happens once, off-screen, during a time skip. And we only find out if one of them mentions it in a banter or something.
