He's not a Templar. That's Wesley (I think I got the name right?)

Yes, Dave. Wesley the templar, and his body builder wife:pinched:

And as you all squint to read it, you're making a similar expression as him *or not*

*Not great at banners, but, there's one at least*.

Hey, at least she's muscular (I don't even see how she's overly muscular either), not like some other people who look like they can't swing a toothpick :x

Ever since they said they modeled her after a guy, I'll just have that in my head.

Hah, well, I am just saying that I find it more believable that she would have muscular arms as opposed to the stick arms in Origins.

Maybe Carver gets a cool eye patch, too. That'd be kinda cool (and make his face a little less derp-ish).

I sort of cringe every time I see people making fun of Carver. All we have is that one screenshot to go on. For all we know, he's a really cool guy.

It sort of bugs me too, even though I kind of tease him as well, but only for his expression (which, honestly doesn't look that bad)
Then there are muffinheads who come in talking about the size of his manhood, and saying "ooh, he's wearing a muscle shirt, he looks totally gay" and all that other trollzy stuff. Seriously, you can't make an inference on a person with just one poorly taken picture, even if they are just another man's voice, a script, and computer pixels. *is not good at making inspirational speeches*

I gotta admit, as much as I hope he's completely "Derpy" and that he's pretty much invincible after you save him from the ogre so I can torture him, he probably isn't anything like that. He might be all stoic and stuffy and prudy, which could be good (BW writers can literally make a tin can interesting afterall), but a 'Derpy' Carver would be FTW, IMO.

Long live 21st century first world gender roles and expectations. /sarcasm.

Though I did like the edit with sleeves a few pages back, my eyes were all oOOoooh contrast! The beard is up for debate though :\\ One beard to rule them all and it's Hawke's.

I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of Thedas.

Ten years ago, a great Ferelden, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, became the Champion of Kirkwall. This heroic title came as a great beacon light of hope to Carver Hawke who had been seared in the flames of the forums. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of his belittling.

But one year later, he's still are not popular. One year later, the life of Carver is still sadly crippled by the manacles of "lol ur ghey" and the chains of "lol muscle shirt lol". One year later, Carver lives underneath the **** house in the midst of a vast ocean of Kirkwall. One year later, Carver is still languished in the corners of the Bioware Social Network and finds himself an exile in his own game's forum. And so we've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

In a sense we've come to the forums to act cool. When David Gaider wrote the magnificent laws of Thedas, he was signing a promissory note to which every Thedas citizen was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men, yes, Carver as well as Bethany, would be guaranteed the "unalienable Rights" of "E-Fame." It is obvious today that the forums has defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as Carver is concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, the forums have given Carver no coolness coolness which has come back marked "insufficiently cool."

But we refuse to believe that the bank of coolness is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of awesomeness. And so, we've come to cash a check, a check that will give Carver some coolness.

We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind the forums of the fierce urgency of Now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of afking or to talk about Varric's chest hair. Now is the time to make real the promises of coolness. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of mediocracy to the sunlit path of forum worship. Now is the time to lift Carver from the quicksands of Bidoof to the solid rock of Groudon. Now is the time to make justice a reality for Mama Hawke's child.

*Too tired to finish "Carvfying" the rest of the speech*

EDIT: @Dave: If  there was an award for amazingly awesome speeches on the Bioware Social Forums, you'd win five million of them *sniffle at beautiful speech*:crying:

*Sobs*

I feel so silly...

Dave, that was a great speech, but I still think that Carver looks Derp, and I certainly hope that he isn't Derp, or a permanent party member, or else...I will let him die
