Hawke being forced to fight, or even kill, his/her own sibling? This is exactly what I would not like to see.

Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against tragic plot twists or endings but this has been done to - no pun intended - death. But to each their own, I guess.

I missed this because I was momentarily thrown off by the intrusion of the derp image, but that's just perfect. It stimulates me to hit Photoshop and make a sig-able banner with the same message. While my artistical skills are next to nothing, I do earn my money by (in theory >.>) using Photoshop to "do" stuff.

I can agree with that.

It'll definitely be interesting to see how the relationship between the family will develop and how they will cope with what will happen over the time that the game spans.

I'm sure I read somewhere on the forums that you will be able to push companions so far down the rival path a final confrontation will trigger, with the result depending on how you choose to deal with the situation. Like DAO. Your siblings are full companions, so it'd make sense that this option applies to them as well. One of these days I'm going to start saving links so I can back myself up when I say things like this. I'd look for it now, but I'm feeling lazy.

With the siblings, I have this idea that a warrior/rogue Hawke would be closer to Carver while a mage would be closer to Bethany. I would think a warrior/rogue Hawke would have sparred a lot with Carver and this practice would explain where both developed their sword-play (hence, they should have a deeper sibling connection). The Bethany/Mage!Hawke connection is obvious.



It's interesting that the sibling that would probably be the closest to Hawke dies



My first Hawke will be a warrior and she will be much much closer to Carver than Bethany, given that they will have a brotherly/sisterly friendly rivalry thing going on that only drew them closer growing up (and they loved to get into trouble together too XD). The relationship with Bethany won't be as close (though they still love each other as sisters) given that Beth is busy with her studies and is the stuffy mage that Hawke/Carver teased or whatever.



I'm just wondering how others view the Hawke/sibling relationship in regards to Hawke's class?



I just hope that the game allows you to grieve for the fallen sibling later on...to your mother, other sibling, or whomever. Because with my Warrior!Hawke, she lost not only a brother but her best friend.

I'm just guessing here, but you should be able to get him if you base your own Hawke off of the default Ladyhawke. Mess with her features and skin tone all you want, but don't start with a different base-face, just use the default we've been seeing in the demo videos and reviews.

I remember a screenshot of one of the hundreds of previews from two weeks ago. Someone made a butt-ugly Hawke, but Carver had shoulder length hair. It was glorious, as Cailan would say.



So Carver may have actually been at Ostagar himself? Neat. I always thought it'd be kind of cool if one family member was there. I wonder if warrior/rogue Hawke went with him?
