There is no difference as far as I can tell and I have played through the demo a few times by now.

I mean, really, you say it like it's a bad thing. When Carver's surrounded by sliced into pieces darkspawn corpses, you want him MORE 

On topic, I really like the Bethany and Carver dynamic. It's really a shame what's determined, but I'll give BioWare the benefit of the doubt about killing one of them off and play the game with this in mind. My understanding is that Hawke's story is similar to Carver's if he's warrior or rogue (going to Ostagar) and Bethany's if he's a mage, so it has the two dynamics covered. Their different personalities should make for multiple playthroughs. Gotta say, though, would rather take Carver than Bethany. I mean, if I'm going for boobs, it's not going to be my sister's boobs. 

Although, the BBB(Beard, Boobs, and Biceps) squad of Hawkes would make an interesting fanart. Wish I could draw. Maybe I'll write an angst fan-ditty for Carver later.

I think Bioware should give up on the whole "Champion of Kirkwall" bull@#$! and just put out huge posters with "BEARD, BOOBS AND BICEPS" in ten-inch-high letters in every game store. I would totally buy that game even if I wasn't already a drooling DA fangirl.

It's quite easy:
-make the avatar you want
-size must be 146x146 pixel
-rename it to "x_portrait"
-copy it into the folder "Pre-release Characters" and make sure the PC is not able to re-write it
-open DA:O or the DA:O character creator and create a character with the name you used for the portrait (in this case "x")
-click on "Upload Information" and then check your DA Player Profile

Voila!

Success!

...it looked better in Photoshop, now I'll have to struggle to get a different Carver image uploaded. <_<

I tried out the Xbox360 demo, and there's surprisingly little derp from Carver in that build. Nico delivers a pretty solid performance, though he does sound better when annoyed or frustrated. He also seems to like snarky Hawke more than nice Hawke, if the numbers are any indication.

Bethany: We should have left sooner!  Why did we wait so long?
