I had no idea there was a Carver thread. He had me at "(We've/I've) been running since Ostagar."
Carver has solidified my decision to play a mage and anticipate sibling rivalry. Oh, how I dream for a two-man battle against some enormous foe, in which Thurston Hawke and Carver Hawke battle to see who is more capable, once their family's ego has been inflated sufficiently by the people of Kirkwall.
This is my DA2 fantasy of epic proportions.

I am liking Carver more and more my self. There is just alot of potential for him and Hawke. The biggest one is of course the events at Ostagar. A magehawke was not there thus they did not see the massacre or almost die. Carver did and its also possible he waso ut in the field and fled when he realized it was no good and witnessed the king die. Alot of good dialog, plus the fact that he is a bit jealous of Hawke opens up alot of good potential.

Almost everybody in DAO believes the wardens betrayed the king, as Loghain says. It’s neat that Carver (or warrior/rogue Hawke) know otherwise. Another thread to tie the two games together. I doubt it’ll mean anything in the bigger picture, but I hope at the start of the game we do get to talk about Ostagar with him. I always wondered what the battle looked like from a soldier’s perspective. All we really got was Loghain’s men saying “you betrayed him!” and our warden saying “he betrayed us!”

Thank you for sharing it, Katherine. I think it's lovely. It makes me think of the refugee Hawke brothers (or sister) waiting around a bar in the seedier parts of Kirkwall, looking for work. Not knowing that their name will be legend.

Oh I hope you do. It'll be something to look forward to while I slog through a term paper. I envy you artsy people and your tablets. Everything I've ever drawn has looked like it was done by a blind two year old.
