Carver is funny, I love how he hates my Hawke... I made him a Templar so that they can have an epic reunion when Hawke sides with the mages and Carver has to decide if his job or his family is more important... I'm such an evil b*tch...

What are the presets? I tried to give Carver the longer hair we saw earlier in the screenshots (the one with Bethany's short hair), and I ended up with him having a ridiculous top-knot of some kind (Thankfully, that was a Rogue playthrough, Bethany had the short hair, that was pretty cool)

Well, I ended up with a preset for Anna I didn't really want because the alternative was a brother who'd been beaten with the ugly stick.  And since the Emporium can't change the sibling's looks, I dumped that Anna and remade her so that Carver was back to the default structure.  And I still don't have her face right.  Though it's closer now, but something's wrong with her eyebrows.

The things I go through to make sure my brother's not ugly.  Sheesh.

I'm jealous of his Grey Warden armor. It looks like he could've starred as the protagonist in his own story with that suit.

I hardly ever experiment with the different presets for Hawke because I'm quite fond of default!Carver.

I think it's going to be similar to Commander Shepard.  The faces that are both pretty and animate well often tend to look similar.  I've noticed it with my Hawkes too.

Yaaaay!  Aww, Carver is just too adorable for words.  I love him so much!

And I LOVE Varric's "Uh-oh, here we go again".  Flaming debris is raining down in the city, and Varric thinks they're going to ignore that for another heated sibling brawl.  XD  (Well, in my case, they had one the last time they met and they were knee-deep in darkspawn at the time... so Varric was probably right to be concerned.)

Is the letter you get in act 2 different if you're friends with him? I always thought he was just lighthearted and sarcastic in that letter, not blaming Hawke for making him a Warden.

And I'm not one for characters who disagree with me at every turn but for some reason I liked Fenris and Carver the most. Maybe because they seemed to change more throughout the story? Mellowed out towards the end? And they are two of the few characters who will stand by me no matter what (well, as long as I'm at full rival or friend with Fenris).

Carver just felt real to me and I actually felt more in that relationship than the LIs. Maybe because the LIs were practically throwing themselves at me, and the Carver friendship was extremely hard to complete.

Truth be told, In act 1, carver is pretty annoying in his wants to argue. His constant need to shift blame on whatever is bothering him. Though the argument in Gamlen's house is an interesting bluff if you accept blame for Bethany's death. He went for a low blow and you catch it and send it right back so he was forced to respond genuinely for once.

As you meet him later, he seems far more his own person instead of acting as if he is fated to fail and it's all someone else's fault. He takes responsibility for himself and and his path of life he has now sans older sibling.

What was more jarring of the siblings is just how bubbly bethany because almost jaded initially when meeting again in Act 2. At least compared to her far more joyful friendly self. Not saying she was meen. Just sort of dry and almost uncaring compared. Not really complaining for it, just felt out of place compared to the maturing that Carver seems to go through.

Wow, it's weird how that single choice over taking him to the Deep Roads or not changes him so much. I wonder what GW Carver would think of Templar Carver.

Templar Carver would still support sister. He'd draw the line at killing every single mage out of one woman's lunacy. What is more amusing is how Cullen basically draws the line at her wanting to kill the Champion. But not all the mages pinned in a corner and crying.
