::snerk:: Yeah, you'd think they would have noticed the black veins and blight-y cataracts a little bit sooner.

Carver always looks like the picture of health in my games, though.  Besides a glitch, the only reason I can think of is that they thought more people would have Bethany than Carver (warriors and rogues vs just mages) and thus it wouldn't be worth the effort making an entire second model for Carver for that short scene.

It doesn't bother me, though.  Bethany looked freaky.

I enjoy my rogue too much, so I am sadly Carver-less a lot.  The rogue is just SO MUCH FUN and reminds me of ME's vanguard in that you're just a whirling blur of zippy death.  Zipping around as a rogue makes me cackle with maniacal glee.

I've been wondering for a while now on how he acts as a Templar, as opposed to (or similar to?) how grateful and wonderful he is as a Grey Warden.

He seems a lot more resentful and distant towards Hawke if he joins the Templars - or at least that was my impression.

There's not enough hugs in this game period. Nothing when Leandra died and your LI came to comfort you, nothing when Carver came back, damnit Hawke's life is miserable, someone giver her a hug!

BFFs? More like complete opposites, no? 

I can kind of understand why there was no hug in that scene - fires, Qunari, people running for their lives left and right, pressing matters and all that. I really, really wished there was one at the Gallows, though. Bethany gets one as far as I know.
