My Korlus Litho was perfect. Packed in foam. Both my Normandys showed up bent and only packed in cardboard. Had to get them replaced by CS, and the replacements were shipped in foam.
So I get the Pragia and Purgatory lithos today and again they are packed in only cardboard and the corners are bent badly.
My question is, since the problem is known, and the foam seems to work for the most part. Why are Lithos still being shipped out in only cardboard? It has to cost more to replace than just to use foam in the first place.

I received my Normandys heavily damaged with the cardboard only, they had even been damaged on the art itself since theres two really tight contact points that holds the litho, so the paper get these really nasty marks on them.
And I still haven't received my replacement for one of my Normandy replacements.

Both my Pragia and Purgatory were damaged in the corners and have a small rip. Debating having them replaced, will depend on if the corners smooth out in a frame. Personally, I've had much better luck with the sans foam shipments. The foam for mine was typically not properly shaved (i.e., it had sharp edges on the flat part) and would scratch the paint off the front of the lithos, to the point that it looks like little stars all over the picture. Foam was better for protecting the corners, cardboard the pictures itself. Can we just do a compromise where we replicate the new fully enclosed boxes but with foam and a blank piece of tissue paper in between the lithos and the foam? This seems like the best method. Right now, my Purgatory and Pragia are starting to warp a little because they were delivered in the rain without a plastic cover.
The water damage will be highly noticable once it dries. Your postal worker should have placed it in a plastic bag since it was raining. That is 100% mailman's fault there. I too was worried it would rain before I got home today and mine would end up the same but it held off just long enough (my porch looks like it would stay dry, but it doesn't).

That's what I'm afraid of, but it looks like its mostly damp from the air and hasn't gotten bad *yet*. Jedi, does the store get shipping insurance on these? This def seems like shippers oversight, but I don't like the idea of living with damaged lithos (although I was proud of my sub 100 numbers as I bought these on a phone, while driving).

I think that they do....that is why they need pictures typically. I am very impressed however that you managed to buy these over the phone. I had wondered before if this was possible in the event of a cable-internet failure.TheKingBoar wrote...

I haven't opened the package yet, there really is no need to as you can see the damage from the outside.

My lithographs arrived today and i'm going to have to return them. one corner of the package is caved in and you can see the lithographs sticking out and on one edge there is about a inch long gash and you can see that the lithographs are torn.

I beleive you don't actually have to send them back.

According to the link above (Don't know if its just the Normandy lithos this is for) you should destroy the lithograph according to the description.
(Better ask a BioWare representative before though.)

1) All Lithographs will be poly-bagged and then taped to a thick cardboard backing.
2) This will be placed inside the current box that we are using to ship.
3) This box will be placed inside a larger box surrounded by packing material to limit movement of the inner box.
4) Outerbox will be have a fragile do not bend sticker.
This should solve 99% of the issues being discussed related to Lithograph shipments.
