Well, since I may have helped inspire this thread I may as well post.

My Korlus Litho was perfect.  Packed in foam. Both my Normandys showed up bent and only packed in cardboard. Had to get them replaced by CS, and the replacements were shipped in foam.

So I get the Pragia and Purgatory lithos today and again they are packed in only cardboard and the corners are bent badly.

My question is, since the problem is known, and the foam seems to work for the most part. Why are Lithos still being shipped out in only cardboard? It has to cost more to replace than just to use foam in the first place.

I agree with Hondalife.

I received my Normandys heavily damaged with the cardboard only, they had even been damaged on the art itself since theres two really tight contact points that holds the litho, so the paper get these really nasty marks on them.

And I still haven't received my replacement for one of my Normandy replacements.

Well I received my lithos today of pragia and purgatory. They have a bend right down the middle of all of them. Also I only got one Pragia, when I ordered two.

Received Pragia and Purgatory today and they're bent down the middle with damaged corners. Same packaging as the Normandy, which I had to get replaced. Like Hondalife said, the foam works fine, cardboard only doesn't. Every litho I've received packed in foam arrived in perfect condition. Also, I thought one of the reasons the price was raised to $40 was to cover the cost of improved packaging.

This packaging was slighty different than the Normandy packaging I received. I had some minor corner bends on both Pragia and Purgatory and some weird rippling on the top right corners of each. This was the first noticeable damage I've had. If the price was raised to fix the packaging then I'm disappointed.

My first lithograph was The Wards, and it was sent in the foam packaging in absolute mint condition. I got lucky with my Normandy - It was sent in the cardboard-only packaging, but only had damage to the corners that could be covered by a frame. It's obvious the foam packaging works so much better than using cardboard alone. These items are obviously treasured by the buyers, and it shouldn't be a big issue to spend a couple of extra dollars to slap two pieces of foam on either side of the packaging. Many people have stated numerous times that they would even be happy to pay a little extra on shipping to go back to the old method. Almost everyone has complained about the change in shipping, and I'm genuinely shocked to hear that after all of the trouble experienced with the Normandy packaging, the store went right back to the cardboard death traps for Pragia and Purgatory. The reasoning for this is beyond me.

I got a Korlus that was completely wrinkled in the middle, due to being transported while folded in half. I didn't want to destroy it without knowing if there were still replacements (since it was out of stock by then), but I never got an answer from support... I still have it, so I may test some various techniques for reducing fold marks on it, but...are there any Korluses left if I want a replacement?

Makes me wish their were some illium replacements for my illium. (In the really old days lithographs were transported in circular tubes versus cardboard)

Both my Pragia and Purgatory were damaged in the corners and have a small rip. Debating having them replaced, will depend on if the corners smooth out in a frame. Personally, I've had much better luck with the sans foam shipments. The foam for mine was typically not properly shaved (i.e., it had sharp edges on the flat part) and would scratch the paint off the front of the lithos, to the point that it looks like little stars all over the picture. Foam was better for protecting the corners, cardboard the pictures itself. Can we just do a compromise where we replicate the new fully enclosed boxes but with foam and a blank piece of tissue paper in between the lithos and the foam? This seems like the best method. Right now, my Purgatory and Pragia are starting to warp a little because they were delivered in the rain without a plastic cover.

The water damage will be highly noticable once it dries.  Your postal worker should have placed it in a plastic bag since it was raining.  That is 100% mailman's fault there.  I too was worried it would rain before I got home today and mine would end up the same but it held off just long enough (my porch looks like it would stay dry, but it doesn't).

That's what I'm afraid of, but it looks like its mostly damp from the air and hasn't gotten bad *yet*. Jedi, does the store get shipping insurance on these? This def seems like shippers oversight, but I don't like the idea of living with damaged lithos (although I was proud of my sub 100 numbers as I bought these on a phone, while driving).

I think that they do....that is why they need pictures typically.  I am very impressed however that you managed to buy these over the phone.  I had wondered before if this was possible in the event of a cable-internet failure.

I had some slight corner wrinkles on Pragia. This has been the first time I've ever had damage to a litho as well, even going back to when they came in a tube.

My lithographs arrived today and i'm going to have to return them. one corner of the package is caved in and you can see the lithographs sticking out and on one edge there is about a inch long gash and you can see that the lithographs are torn.

I haven't opened the package yet, there really is no need to as you can see the damage from the outside.

I beleive you don't actually have to send them back.

According to the link above (Don't know if its just the Normandy lithos this is for) you should destroy the lithograph according to the description.
(Better ask a BioWare representative before though.)

corners are slightly wrinkled on mine...not bad enough that I'm going to try and get them replaced, but I feel it's worth noticing they didn't even make it out of the Denver Metro area without SOME damage.

Gah, this last batch seems worse than Normandy. I haven't gotten mine yet since I'm in Australia, so I'd hate to see the damage they take on the way here.

Here is the latest update on Lithograph packaging.
1) All Lithographs will be poly-bagged and then taped to a thick cardboard backing.
2) This will be placed inside the current box that we are using to ship.
3) This box will be placed inside a larger box surrounded by packing material to limit movement of the inner box.
4) Outerbox will be have a fragile do not bend sticker.

This should solve 99% of the issues being discussed related to Lithograph shipments.

Awesome! Will the orders I placed this weekend get this kind of packaging? I think it takes what, a week? To ship them out. So hopefully mine gets put in this new packing material so I don't have to through any hassle.
