Here is the latest update on Lithograph packaging.
1) All Lithographs will be poly-bagged and then taped to a thick cardboard backing.
2) This will be placed inside the current box that we are using to ship.
3) This box will be placed inside a larger box surrounded by packing material to limit movement of the inner box.
4) Outerbox will be have a fragile do not bend sticker.
This should solve 99% of the issues being discussed related to Lithograph shipments.
Sounds fantastic!
I've been very luck with most of my orders. At worst, I've only had bent corners ans some slight minor dents that aren't visable once framed.

In my experience delivery takes roughly 10 days. I've ordered practically every litho relase and so far (knock on wood) I've only had one delivery damaged.
Thats good to hear, though i ordered beginning of this month lol. The first order had one item that was pre order though, so i suppose they'll send them all out when its available...

So... Guess my actual question then, is, has anyone else here ordered minis, and does it normally take this long? Or should I go open a support ticket to try to find out what's going on?
UPDATE: Just got a shipping notification e-mail today, (though the tracking number doesn't seem to be working... yet, anyway).

The bend didn't make a crease on the paper itself, so I was wondering if putting a good bit of pressure on it (like putting several heavy books on top of that corner for a few days) would "fix" the bend. Anyone think this would work? I don't need it to be perfect, just look well enough that it won't be too noticeable in a frame (plus I got it for free, so the slight bend doesn't bother me).

I then took a look at the lithograph, it had several bent or collapsed, I am not sure how to describe the condition, sections in the lithograph in at least three places. Making the picture side look like crap. I am not very pleased at all. Is the store reverting to old method of shipping items in boxes again?
I tried taking pictures of the damage, but it wasn't coming through clear, any suggestion of how to get better picture without blurring or reflections since I am trying to take picture of white side, picture side as well.

Kirkwall was a special case - as it's significantly larger than any other Litho released, they decided not to ship it flat. The alternative would of course be shipping it rolled, which they had less than an outstanding success in the begining with the regular Lithos which would be why they started shipping them flat. The past has shown that the Bioware Store is very dedicated to improving and eventually providing the best shipping possible, though, so I wouldn't be surprised if significant steps were taken to improve the shipping of your replacement...Anuis wrote...

Direct light from a specific low direction to cast shadows...then a picture likewise; obviously not into the light, but at a low angle to reduce glare and to hopefully catch the 3-dimensional variations...Anuis wrote...

If you have a digital/film camera, or access to someone who does, you will get far better pictures, and be able to compensate for the lighting better. If at all possible, try to take the picture in daylight, or with a non florescent light.
Florescent light fluctuates rapidly. Our eyes can compensate for it, but a camera without a flash cannot, and even with a flash can often net you a poor quality picture if you catch the light the wrong way.
If you have a camera with a flash, try projecting light on the litho from one side (as mentioned previously), and taking the picture at a 90 degree angle. You may have to adjust the flash angle so that it does not fire directly at the glossy surface in order to get the contrast.

Wow.. It showed me a lot more irregularities than I wanted to see. They were too numerous to count but I took pictures mainly of the largest ones. They showed up as black shadows and some are sharp black shadows which has appearance of being pinched. Then on the picture side, I did same thing as using indirect light with flash off and close up option enabled... showed up as white lines (also appeared as pinched, corresponding to the pinched sharp black shadows on back side) which works fine for me.

I ordered the character three-pack when it went on sale back in October; I was just wondering if there was any estimate as to when they would ship or anything. I've never had a store actually charge me for preorder items before they were ready to ship, so it's making me a little antsy to have that much money just out there with no idea as to when I'll actually get what I paid for. I was just really hoping there would be some news by now, since I was hoping to have them by Christmas. I've been looking through these forums and haven't seen anything, so I thought it best to go ahead and ask.

This close to Christmas I'm not going to risk asking for a replacement to be sent to the UK - I'll take some photos and get a refund instead. There is no excuse at all for everyone who orders a lithograph to be holding their breath to see if it arrives undamaged, or being happy that their lithograph was 'only' creased around the edges in a way they can easily hide with a frame.

Character 3 pack didn't seem to have 3 or 4, as there was no outer box, just the inner one that was used before. The extra cardboard inside did wonders though, although I'm not sure how I feel about the do not bend sticker. I'd like it, but I can certainly see some vindictive postmen (not slandering all of you, but there are those out there who do this) going out of their way to bend something. Overall a big fan of the new packing method, but it still didn't help prevent a bent corner on all 5 lithos.

Quick note on shipping. There are going to be issues with packages being damaged by shippers. If you send in those photo's with you case we do our best to go after the shipper. We will not ever be able to get to no damages on delicate items on Lithographs, but I can tell you since we've started poly-bagging and using the new packaging our our damage rate is significantly reduced. j
While I understand if you're one of the people who receives a damaged Lithograph the low damage rate doesn't mean anything. What it does mean is that we'll be able to replace your Lithograph without any delays.
