Might just be your post man I have had mini lithos sent like that and they have all been fine. It is always the limited ones that I get a small bent corner but a frame covers it so I never bother with it.

Indeed it could be the postman but corner protection would solve this except from certain extreme cases.

After a long run of stuff reaching me in good condition, I'm disappointed to see the return of the flimsy cardboard tube which was the source of so many problems long ago. Predictably, thanks to some heavy-footed clod presumably standing on it somewhere in transit, one of my recent packages was pretty much crushed flat causing very serious creasing to the lithographs inside. The result is that they're unsalvageable.

It's a bit depressing that we're back to this again...

Yeah, I had a big order of lithographs come in this week, and while they were all in overall good condition, there was a few bends and the like. Nothing to get worked up over though.

It got in close contack with a scissor. It was destroyed per request of Treehouse (because a replacement was sent).

Well, with that kind of damage it didn't really matter.

Sometimes Treehouse asks me to cut up the damaged lithos. On other occasions they either forget or let me keep them?

It's damaged though? Why bother keeping it?

Despite being already damaged it is heart wrenching to see a lith all cut up...must've been weird to do it!!

Well, let's say it has a mark at the buttom or a bend in a corner. A litho damaged like that could be salvaged.

Fx. I gave Prototype, Dead Reaper and Purgatory away after receiving a replacement. They all had a fold in the middle but it wasn't that visible.

I do however insist that lithos from Treehouse should reach me in mint condition. Paper is meant to be flat :)

This time they're shipping the replacement flat, so let's see how that goes.

So it would appear there's a new fault to be found in the lithos with black borders.

More specificly a thin blue line. Printing error?

So...

Having almost managed to pack a litho correctly employee17 decides to shove the receipt down the tube...

db.tt/EWQ6UTxY

db.tt/hlz9XSz2

So considering how the receipt was previously put on the tube why this change?

For the fun of it?

Pros

The packaging paper is thin and soft

Cons

The tube is softer than usual
No padding in both ends
The packaging paper is only the size of the litho meaning youncan't use it to pull out the litho.
The edge of the litho isn't completely even. Duæl cut?

I just got my Crucible litho too and mine is pretty much trashed too. I'm convinced that these Treehouse people are seriously brain dead. They do the stupidest, most confounding things; and they keep making mistakes over and over again. They take one step forward and ten steps back!

I'm glad that they ditched the bag & board, but then they go and use a poster tube that's almost as thin and flimsy as the cardboard tube in a roll of paper towels; and to top it all of, they shove the invoice in the tube without a care in the world. I also don't think the white sheet of paper they use to line the litho is adequate . It's too small. It's cut to the exact size of the litho. It should be wider and longer than the litho; and the white piece of paper is also too thin. They should just have used craft paper.

I can live with small imperfections here and there; but seriously, this is just inexcusable.

Why don't they just put the lithograph in between 2 thick pieces of foamboard on each side including bubblewrap and ship them flat? It's not exactly that much more expensive, it should be a necessity for limited pieces of ART. Come on! -.-

And when should I recieve my lithograph (the crudible), I'm in UK.. Thanks in advance

In the US the 18x24 lithos are shipped flat in a plastic bag taped to a piece of cardboard that is smaller than the outside edge and I have yet to receive one that has been damaged that is shipped this way. Unfortunately for these big 39x22 lithos, that type of packaging is just not feasible.

I received my Crucible today, but mine was not crushed. However I was a little disappointed that the piece of paper backing the litho was not larger than the artwork itself, made it a little bit tricky to remove from the tube without damaging the print.

So, replacemet sent. How many will it take this time?

But I wanted to mention that these Crucible lithos were shipped from a different warehouse -- your previous lithos all shipped from Denver, CO, and this litho was shipped from Louisville, KY -- and out of 225 Crucible lithos, only 2 were reported damaged (including yours). So getting a replacement in perfect condition is more likely.

So one must assume the other warehouse needs to learn how to package lithos since common sense is non-exsistent or something like that.
