Are you kidding me? It's going to "change the way" we play games "forever!"
God, I look forward to playing the game but I can't stand Peter "XBOX Live hacker" Molyneux and his exaggerations!

I've a question for those who already have the game. How customisable is the character now? I haven't heard it mentioned in any reviews and one seemed to hint that you play a pre-defined character.

It's the same as in Fable II.  You have a pre-set male or female and you can buy various hairstyles and tattoos for them.

Like Fable II, you can get dyes to change hair and clothing color.

Ah cheers. The reviews didn't mention this and one of them made it sound like it might be gone altogether. My copy is still in transit and the wait is getting annoying.

Not bad thus far. Have to wait to see how the rest of the game pans out.

Pro Tip: Don't leave out the sidequests, the greatest moments in this game are the sidequests. They also affect your ending, and add a significant amount of playtime to the game, as the main plot is a bit short.

Hey, I have a possibly-spoiling question I need answered if anyone who has played the game or beaten it can answer it. I have the spoilers spaced heavily, since for some reason other color codes aren't working, and I'll have a spoiler alert in caps before the potential spoilers

SPOILER ALERT

I had put my family in Bowerstone Old Quarter and left them there before starting the Aurora quest, not having read anything ahead and keeping the surprise for myself. Upon completing it, the game jumped right into the revolution, as those who've beaten the game already know, and Bowerstone's Old Quarter was the major area hit, which had me worried as I don't know if the script would be corrupt and your family would go missing from the game. My fears were founded as after the revolution, coronation, and other BS leading to repairing Old Quarter, it was repaired, and while the sanctuary map says they're there, my family is no where to be found. Essentially they disappeared from the game. I've seen others on other threads suggesting moving the family to another house first to see if they respawn before attempting to move them into the castle. I forgot how to do this besides taking the spouse to the new house and choosing to move in on the real estate sign. Any help would be appreciated

END SPOILERS

Ok, spoilers are done, I think. Just a warning for those who haven't played it, or at least haven't done this: do NOT have your family in Bowerstone Old Quarter until AFTER the revolution part of the game. Or at least move them before going to Aurora if you have them in Old Quarter.

Though the storyline is what pulls you in. The choice, moral good or bad and it affected the game. Not as much as Dragon Age Orgins but still pretty deeply. I think Fable 3 "race for the crown" with first half of the game focused on getting support for the crown and the other half being the king looks like a really good game.

I feel I must disagree. The story in Fable 2 did not pull me in it was pretty crap. I enjoyed the game but the storyline was weak at best. I preordered Fable 3 tonight and I'm looking forward to it though.

I agree.  I enjoyed Fable 2, it was fun but it didn't  "pull me into" the story,  and I'm playing Fable  3 now. I'm having fun, I don't see it being a game I will play for the next 5 years.  But i't fun and that's what I'm looking for at the moment.

Did they fix the only one save game issue? If they didn't I'm not touching this game with a pole.

This is very irritating.  I always have at least 2 games going at the same time.  I've worked around it, but I don't like it.

I thought it was considerably easier than the 2nd one, the hollow men are still a pain in the arse though. Still, if you are able to dodge them fast enough they end up hitting each other which is fun to watch!

You don't even need to dodge they will hit each other regardless if you do anything or not. I've seen them do it while nowhere near in range of me.

Slightly related to hollow men:

Did anyone laugh at the name 'Mourningwood'. Or was it just me and my immaturity?

I didn't laugh, but I got the joke when I first saw that name. Its probably because I had to load up the villager maker on the site so many times in frustration that seeing everything just got tiring for me <_<

Anyone else figure out anything about the glitch I mentioned, about family disappearing in Bowerstone Old Quarter after the revolution arc?

According to the Lionhead forums theres no fix for that glitch yet.

If anyone is wondering where the black dye is they are apparently selling it as DLC for 400 MS points. F*ckin hell.

I'm finding Fable 3 harder so far but it might just be because they took out sub-targeting which is pretty much all I used once I got it in Fable 2.  Right now what's frustrating me is I can't walk more than 10 feet anywhere without running into a group of 5-6 balvarines.  Also those mercenary guys with the fireballs are awesomely annoying.

I was really disappointed with Fable 3. It isn't much worse than Fable 2, but it is a step back, and I'm having a hard time thinking of elements that were better. I'd say the story isn't as good, though it wasn't exactly great in either game (I'll take the original game's story over both of them).

The combat mechanics are about on par with the last game, but the more rigid enhancement system that is in several occasions just poorly thought-out (how many hollow men do you want me to kill? Seriously?) and the lack of a health bar certainly don't enhance anything.

It's ludicrously short, I got more gameplay time out of Deathspank than I did out of Fable 3, and yes, I did try to do as much exploring as I could stomach, but when you combine a barely functional map that doesn't even show you where you are with quests and content that are often so out of the way that your chances of finding them without the aid of the strategy guide are incredibly slim. Also, suddenly and inexplicably being thrust into a series of events that would insure I could not finish any side quests I had available to me didn't help.

The king phase is all the fun of being a judge. Yes, I like to make decisions that effect tha world, but that should be an organic experience that is interwoven throughout the more action-filled portions of the game, not just dumped on you all at once.

The only thing saving this game from being an utter failure is that Albion is still a very impressive place with saturated colors and fun characters and the combat was more or less left alone, to its benefit. The rest of this game has me wondering what they were thinking.

^This. The Chicken Chaser quest, and the quest where you save the princess from the evil guy were gold. Those 2 quests had me giggling.
