It would a bit annoying in Lair of teh Shadow Broker. I was expecting something a lot more graphic. Not that I'm into that kind of thing mind you.

Personally if for that one romance scene with Liara they did an almost identical romance scene as it was with Liara in 1 then I think I would have been happy. Not just Shepard playing grab ass and then a hug.

Agreed, anything is better than grab ass and a fade out

Fading away is crap. ME1 scenes were great. I mean the LOTSB scene was just bad, it was even more tame than the ME2 scenes. But what can you expect from a "PG 13 Movie"? Bloody Hudson.

Gosh there really are some hormones on the rampage here..... I could care less whether there was a fade out or the camera stayed mostly "on target" like with Miranda or Jack. Though things might have become unintentionally funny or at least awkward with Tali, Thane and/or Garrus



The scenes in ME-1 were... well slightly more explicit, but they really didn't add anything to the story either.... as for DA:O, the only time I felt an interest in those was when my dwarf was involved, to see how they pulled that off. Call it morbid curiosity^^

It's funny because this is the most used argument against more tastefull scenes.
Well, when I make sex with my fiance we surelly add A LOT to our story. LOL

Sadly the ESRB is not as concise as the MPAA so M for Mature can mean anything from PG-13 all the way up to skirting NC-17. With the Faux News backlash, and partnership with EA probably made them tone everything down to near PG-13 levels. Drug use? Fine. Gore? Fine. Clothed "strippers"? Fine. A little sideboob and media attention? OH GOD NO SHUT DOWN EVERYTHING.
What I find hilarious is that execs still think there's such a thing as bad publicity. Or maybe they just didn't feel like giving us tasteful romantic scenes, perhaps we angered the gods somehow; who really knows?

Did you know that here in Brazil the two Mass Effect are rated "14 years old"?

But we have our share of stupidity too, CS was banned for a month in 2009 because "it could teach guerrilla tatics and warfare".
Then EA entered with a court injunction and the game was available again.

I've seen so many cheaters gladly go back with Liara because she decided to sleep with them again in the dlc. What's going to stop them from the next flavor?

I played an entirely new game to have at least one import where I romanced and stayed true to Liara.

There is no way I'd spend 30 hours of game just to have sex with her. I did it because her character development inspired interest that had never been there.

While I agree that Bioware needs to give a "F-U" to fox news and that God of War didn't get B!tched at because its not as popular, I strongly disagree with your want for a sex mini game. It would be unnecessary and wouldn't fit with the Mass Effect vibe. All I ask from Bioware is that the return to their old ME1 styled scenes and stop fearing Fox news and the free advertising that brings.

I find it very funny actually, because I used to watch Fox News regularly (very specific programs, many really are borderline bigotry) and O'Rielly has flat out said that whenever he airs a clip of Carl's Jr. showing some sexy woman doing something suggestive with a burger it is him giving them free advertising. 

They know very well, at least he does, the value of free advertising.

Just a question. Does the fading away during the love scenes in ME2 really bother people as much as it does me? Don't get me wrong I'm not a pervert or something but to me its really irritating to have scenes fade out like in Fable when this game is supposed to be cinematic and movie-like and in movies it never just fades, if anything it cuts to another place or time or just shows the scene exposed skin or not. I just want to see what other people think about this, although it would seem that close to nobody is bothered by this. One thing that really did it for me was in Lair of the Shadow broker when you're talking with Liara and BOOM fade out, cut to door, see ya later Liara. Then I think, What did I miss aside from the obvious "encounter"? However I have to say I was very pleased that the romance theme and the vigil song returned, I miss the old music.

It doesn't bother me at all.

I mean, I pretty much know what's going to happen next.  The game doesn't have to spell it out for me, like The Witcher did.

Now is something a little "stronger", but still tasteful could be done, that would be cool too.  But fadeouts as such?  Nope, I'm fine with that.

 I agree completely, what worries me though that this change in the romance scene videos has concerned so many of us players, including myself.  I mean is the most important part of the game the, not even 30 second, sex scene that happens near the end of game or dlc?
What is wrong with us???????

Actually, I was kind of surprised by the lack of sideboob and tail (whether they be of human or alien varieties) in ME2's romance scenes. But in the end, it matters very little in the grand scheme of things, even if I did shake my fist at the sky for the ****tease over what Tali looks like under the suit.

I agree that I'd prefer to see ME1-type cutscenes--tasteful with the right mood. The only cutscene that was passable in DAO's was Alistair's.

I don't believe that ME2 did it wrong necessarily--I mean, they didn't want to make new models for Tali or Thane and Garrus...I'm not sure if I want to see Garrus.

If I had to pick between getting three seconds of ass and sideboob and getting individual, unique cutscenes that fade to black, I pick the latter.
