Are you creeped out by the option to call your LI up to snuggle/sit on your lap?

To be honest, I've never spent a single thought on this subject before.

However, I do feel it's completely natural to call up one's chesire puss - who also happens to be your subordinate - and order them to sit on your lap. Is that not how relationships are supposed to work?

In Shepard's world that's how every relationship works.

As far as calling them up to Shepards place goes I'd prefer if they spent there all the time instead of wherever on the ship.

I'm not creeped out by it, and It doesn't bother me that much, sometimes my husband beckons me without talking and I'll run to his waiting arms.<3    But yes, I would have liked a couple of romantic sentences, even if it was just "I'm lonely can you come up"  and "I'll always be here when you need me"  or something appropriate to the character.  I'm not sure I can imagine Jack saying that.

The part where she sits in his lap is totally weird, but I didn' think them on the bed was anything bad.

Agreed. Them always assuming the same posts that they did before you go to defeat the reapers is kinda weird. Especially post suicide mission.

I've always thought that it might be cool to see them post suicide mission milling about on the ship in different sections of the ship, maybe conversing with chef Gardner at the dining area, getting vaccinated in Chakwas' office, ordering drinks at the bar in Kasumi's section, or playing cards in one of the observation decks. Nothing major, just something to indicate the progress you've made in the game.

It would go a long way toward the immersion factor of the game to have something visual implimented that implies "we're done, and now prepping for the final reaper onslaught", or maybe even "whew!...that was a rough ride. Time now for some RNR."

Having a love interest permanaetly situated in your cabin after the mission is over would go a long way in portraying that.

I think they should have the female LI's do the Kelly dance instead of yapping away whlie on Sheps lap.

Indeed. That, and the yapping doesn't look all that convincing and Miranda just stands in the table.

It doesn't bother me a great deal but I'm not a fan of it. I'd rather they talked at least.

The only thing that "creeps me out" about the whole thing is the "sit on the lap" animations. For a manshep, the LI sits on his lap and is animated as if she's talking, while he STARES intensely into her face like he's about to slap her lol.

They could at least have given him a grin or something.

Oh God no. Please, BioWare, no grins. Shepard should never grin.

This. The only difference would've been Shep ready to rape the LI

No. Please No.

To be fair, his smirks are just fine. After telling off TIM his smirk looked totally natural.

I can't cheat on liara...she's just to cuddly and qwt, so...no I haven't tried that yet, I probably won't do it later either, but things like that don't creep me out that much normally.

I was glad of the option to snuggle Garrus - after all, all you get off him prior to that is a headbump (and a lot of talk about calibrations).

Maybe I'm imagining this, but I swear that when you have your LI sitting on Shepard's lap, their lips actually move and they actually make hand gestures as if you're having a conversation. I'll have to watch it again though.

New standard dialog sure, but I don't know about having them always waiting in your quarters. They still have their own live and work to do.

Go, go, fongiel. Because I can't bring myself to. Tell me the results, give me a reason to want to do it again.

Ugh...

I think it was kind of funny and silly that Shepard have a booty call button in his/her cabin. But then again I am easily amused.

LOL, Fox News will never live that down! But given some of their other... not the place, shutting up now.

We all have different perceptions on what is appropriate and what isn't. I remember when I didn't know about this end game option at all and was annoyed when Miranda was like "I'm still tying up a few things with Cerberus..." line and that the romance couldn't be taken further despite the sudden new downtime Shepard had between ME2 and ME3. But given the cost and availability of the VAs to come in and read new lines to further it after the main storyline in ME2 is completed I can see why we're stuck with just scenes of cuddling which I think is better than nothing.

Still, if they could include one DLC that specifically furthered the relationship with Shepard's LI between ME2 and ME3 - a duo mission for example? Well people can dream I suppose.

Their lips don't actually move, and while their hands do shift around, it doesn't really suggest they're having a conversation. I really dislike the lap-sitting because it looks terribly unnatural. The snuggling on the bed is nice though; nothing wrong with just enjoying some quiet time together in between missions. Posted Image

I did a quick search on youtube. It's surprisingly difficult to find any clips of Miranda on Shepard's lap. The lips don't appear to move, but Miranda moves her head and her arm as if she is telling Shepard a story. It's actually a little creepy since her lips aren't moving, but to me it does appear they're talking.

Judge for yourself:

In any case, it doesn't really bother me. The bed and cough interactions are almost easter eggs because they're so easy to miss. It was likely just intended as a bit of fanservice for people obsessive enough to talk to their LIs after the suicide mission.

I freak out when I saw Garrus/Thane/Jacob sitting cross legs at the sofa. WTF?

Somebody please add a new animation to make them sit like a real man!

Yeah that one was pretty cute actually.

Okay, I'll amend it: Shepard's smiles should always be close-mouthed. I don't want to see any teeth.

Toothy Shepard smiles = bad.

The worst thing is toothy shepard smiles always appear when he's looking for a lay. Honest truth.

Shep's smirks are fine. It's his smiling I have a problem with. \\

...how about a closed small smile compromise. No big grins.
