I think we misunderstood each other.

I know they resemble them. But I thought Ashley's comment made it sound like she's comparing them to animals (simple minded creatures), and she can't tell them apart,

Ash shows some racism at the start but also makes some pretty valid points - Turians would side with Turians and Asari with Asari and so on. One of the reasons I sided with saving the Council was because if humanity wanted to be accepted into the greater galactic community then it'd have to take the first steps to start the process. What better way than savin the Council's combined stupid asses - not to mention the 10k asari on board the ascension. Even still at the end she argues not to throw away the human lives for the council, as do other squadmates (I know Wrex is one but I can't remember who the other is). On the other hand she sympathized with Liara when Benezia was killed so...?



Yeh way too many body shots of Miranda (that'll be my new term for them) and as a general improvement I think it'd be best if BW went back to the old standard of casual or work clothes when on the Normandy and full armor when on most missions, kind of how it worked in ME1. Except like in ME2 the squadmate armor wouldn't have to have any stats and instead rely solely on the squadmember's passive abilities and armor upgrades you do in the lab. Really it'd only be for aesthetic purposes and when they're on ship the squaddies can where whatever they're comfortable with (or hopefully whatever you decide for them). A person who likes seeing oversexualized characters can choose that option while those more down to earth can have Miranda wear something similar to the outfit Commander Anderson wore in ME1 and we see Shepard wearing in ME2. On board Jacob could wear less spandex and maybe something akin to what the alliance marines wore in ME1. Meanwhile he would wear something like cerberus assault armor on missions and Miranda would wear a light armor variation of cerberus assault armor - like what we saw in ME1.



Anyway that seems like the best solution and to end a good lot of the annoyances about appearances and allow people to focus more on personality in ME3.

I don't get that connection at all. I see it as Ash's comparing how they klook at and seeing this all was big to her.

Actually, she can also argue to save the council if you romanced her and "paragon'd" her.

So far i have been seeing so many justifications and so few reasons.

Anyway, my own "dislike" list.

Miranda, Zaeed, Thane.



Thane is the odd one out here, as the other two a large part of my dislike is rooted in when you first meet them.



The only squadmate i hate is Morinth.

Oh, and Ashley is not a rascist.

I can see Wrex wanting to kill the rachni queen in any situation, any krogan would but I think it'd be Ash before Garrus if that was your team.



Never really noticed you could harden Ash and Kaiden, in DAO I knew you could hardn Leianna and Alistair but didnt think u could do it in ME1

From what I hear, tat line was a glitch because she was suppose to be referring to the Keepers. But I dunno.

Even Cerberus is not that racist, there is some Cerberus opertives that only work with them because they are doing stuff, and one person respects the salarians and  asari, I think you know who she is

Even Cerberus is not that racist, there is some Cerberus opertives that only work with them because they are doing stuff, and one person respects the salarians and  asari, I think you know who she is

I think TIM hand-picked moderates for the crew of the Normandy (ex-alliance, Shepard fans, etc.)...because my Shepard would shoot a Kai Leng at the first opportunity

Meh there aren’t really any characters I intensely dislike...with the exception of Udina but he is made to be unlikeable.

Jacob. Alright he’s a nice guy but he’s bland as hell. Tho I will admit that allot of my hatred for him comes from the fact that as a femshep every line you say to him, even the renegade lines sounds like you hitting on him. Hell even the whole “I’m more interested in just talking for a bit” makes me facepalm. Its annoying and put me off talking to him at all.

Grunt. Also boring, just never really bothered with him much.

Liara. Again I find her boring tho that might be largely down to the way she talks. She has a few good lines but most the time I felt like going to sleep when talking to her and I find the Prothens interesting! That and having to repeat the “oh I feel faint” conversation annoyed me. The whole revenge thing in ME2 was overdone too. I havn't played the DLC yet...I hear she is better in that.

Miranda I initially didn’t like but she doesn’t bother me anymore.



Harbinger. Seriously bioware? “I know you feel this” and “this hurts you”? Maybe it’s just my dirty mind but these sound like really bad porno flick lines.

Lol, I still don't understand all the hand wringing. The thread hasn't devolved into a flame war as far as I can tell. People have been discussing why they don't like certain characters, others disagree, but it's been largely civil thus far. If you thought that people would just list their reasons and no one would try to counter them, them you haven't been reading these boards enough, hehe.

Again though, I haven't seen any gratuitous insults or flaming yet.

Edit: And this thread is nowhere near as contentious as say, the "Sympathizing with the Quarians" thread, and I wouldn't call that one a flame war either.
