Incisor Rifle and Geth Shotgun - Do they benefit from upgrades?

Does anyone else know if they are, or do they do a set amount of damage?
I'm curious if the individual upgrades help and if the special traits you unlock at 2 and 3 total upgrades count.

They benefit. But a better question is why would you even think of using the Incisor rifle???
seconded, if your not picking up the anti-material rifle, it's best to use the viper, it's murderously good.

Here is quote from moderator, Eric ****nan
"I asked our weapon designer and he has verified this in the past and the henchmen do still have a penalized damage output on that weapon. Keep in mind that henchmen are very accurate with that weapon, and the weapon always fires 3 bullets at a time. Also, henchmen have unlimited ammo."

So imagine this: boosted headshot damage, boosted damage and 3 rounds to the head. It's even more grusome when Garrus has Tungsten ammo because of the headshot spatter and the damage.
For Geth shotgun it does look like the upgrades do effect it. I forgot if ammo upgrade works for it.

I don't know about the Incisor though, it still shows up
on my game as "M-29" even though the Widow is listed as "X98d" or
whatever it is.
No, it's deliberate. Having searched the text files, the Incisor's designation systme is actually different to every other weapon - it's permanently set as the M-29. If you change is to the alternate 'normal' Incisor text line, it does adapt to the whole M --> S --> X system, but it's called the 'M-1 Incisor', not the M-29. Dunno why they felt the need to change it.swk3000 wrote...
The lack of a name change is a minor glitch.

Incisor with upgrades is better on Thane, Garrus, Legion and Zaeed. Your teammates get triple headshots [from my experience] all the time. I biotic pulled some merc and Garrus fired one incisor burst. All three rounds hit the mercs head while he was floating in the air upside down.
So imagine this: boosted headshot damage, boosted damage and 3 rounds to the head. It's even more grusome when Garrus has Tungsten ammo because of the headshot spatter and the damage.

Legion has a Widow. No reason to give him the Incisor.
Anyways, about using the Incisor on Shep, it's okay, just low on ammo. Aesthetically, it's my favorite gun in the game.
But everyone is correct, upgrades do affect the weapons.
