I found out just now that one of my videos had been taken down from youTube.  According to the claim these two companies, IDG Germany and IMG Media UK, own visual copyrights to ME2.  This hit my video the second it was done processing and I was unable to dispute it.

I think its a glitch with YT's identification metrics, but to be on the safe side I thought I should check with EA.  They directed me to here, typical <_<.

Does anyone at BioWare know anything about the copyrights for ME2?

I got into contact with IDG Germany's partnered channel, Game Star DE, and they said this whole rash of flagging was a glitch in YouTube's system.

Not sure about the other one yet, still no reply from them (I emailed both of their PR departments over the weekend), but suspect something similar.

So any news yet?

One of my Mass Effect video was copyrighted, entity is GoDigital. I used Fraps to record my gaming. When I upload it, nothing happened until all of a sudden it's issued copyrighted. But still it bugs me one things, is it legal to record game and then upload it? Do I need permission?

Maybe it has to do with the soundtrack you used. You know... copyrighted music.

I guess so, because of the end of the credits, there isn't any music and it was boring. So I added a music to it. Well, I don't know what's the big deal with it, it's not like I will gain profit for it. i just enjoy making videos.

It isn't the first time though, I have one more gameplay of my Mass Effect 2 video copyrighted, after I disputed my submit and it became back to normal. So, I'm guessing record game and upload is legal. Right?

Sorry to bump an old post but its relevant to something i wanted to ask without opening a new thread.

Did you ever resolve this problem? About that, some video companies encourage users to upload content, some don't like it, some don't care. has anyone from Bioware/EA stated that users can actually do this? I'm just wondering because before i start doing MAss Effect stuff, i would like confirmation

Usually recording a gameplay and upload it to YouTube is okay, not until you add copyrighted musics or songs which they somehow found it out.

I still have problem with it though, even though I didn't add any soundtracks besides the recorded clips and they claimed it's copyrighted. I got fed up and delete every gameplay I've uploaded from my old account.
