Yea, this is bad news regarding dragon age origins. I am really worried it'll end up like Metal Gear Solid 4

some german guy said this:

"Overall the campaign takes 30-40 hours divided in roughly:
- 40% fights
- 30% cut-scenes and conversations
- 20% Character-management (leveling up and so on.
- 10% Exploration)"

But mind you everything i said can't be backed up and the game isn't really released so this is all hearsay but, thought i should flame bait you this just for the heck of it.  Yeah some dude, that i don't know whispered in my ear everything about this game.  He said he played it and explored 100% of all the content, even though its not out yet.
Yeah, i took his word for it, because hey, im a troll and i want to spam the forums with degrading and derogatory comments just because i can.  While we are at it, why not compare this game to every thing in existance.  omg there are swords in this game, omg pirates have swords so this game is like pirates.  omg characters are wearing boots and shoes, omg Cinderella wore glass shoes, hey this game is like Cinderella.  zomg there are people in this game, there are people in real life, this is so like real life.  omg there is character progression via talents, zomg FING god wow has talents and we all know wow was the first mmo to have talents and everything else (HEAVY SARCASM), so you know, dragon age is just like wow.

fixed that quote for you

To clarify, that "some guy" was not some random guy but these numbers are straight out of the review of Dragon Age in Gamestar Magazine, one of the 2 biggest Magazines in Germany, if not the biggest. If they say this is the way the game is spread I tend to believe them. The amount of time it takes is wrong however, don't know where he got the 40 hours from. They played for 65 hours and finished the main quest without actually doing all the side quests. They had to push it at the end to be finished in time for the deadline.

I really like MGS4 and I will really like this game. For me the story is always the most important aspect of a game. If there is no story to drive you forward then what is the point in playing? I can understand that a lot of people want the optional sidequests and loots and rewards but for me they are just tools to complete the story (doesn't matter to me if my character is perfectly equipped as long as I somehow manage to get through the story). So I will be very happy if there is about 30-45 hours quality game time mostly spend by following the story arc.

I love MGS4. I cried several times.

Me too but try not to tell everyone, I don't need my emotional VG moments going public, just like in Super Metroid when that poor little Good Metroid sacrificed itself so Samus could whip Motherbrain's ass!  or in Final Fantasy VI when that treacherous bastard Kefka stabbed General Leo in the back, or when he poisoned Domo Castle killing Cyan's Wife and young child. Sorry for the spoilers theres just some moments burned into my memory for all time.

BTW when Snake went crawling through that hallway/furnace at the end of MGS4 that was just too much man. What a hero. I didn't care about the tears leaking down my face infront of my buddies watching, my little bro, or my cuz.

Some German guy, who? The Hoff????

Well this Canadian guy talked to his brother, who knows this guy that worked with a girl, that's dating a guy who works for Sony, that sits near a girl that's married to a guy who is the neighbor of a janitor who says he works at Bioware...And this guy says, not only is it all true, but he was also abducted by Giant Alien Space Hampsters and forced to wear a pink toutou while singing Enya.

Clearly we are all doomed.

I better start drinking then, someone pass me a real beer. ;)

Some giraffe named Ted told me that he beat the game in 4 hours..He said the game was 20% learning how to play with hooves, 40% trying to understand human talk, 20% pretty pictures, 10% thinking about eating and 40% wishing he new how to do math... he then ate some twigs and leaves and took a nap.

Best source ever! I always trust Ted the Giraffes reviews Posted ImagePosted Image

Well, this German girl knows where he got that from, and it only tells half the story. The GameStar reviewer is very enthusiastic about the game and rated it 92%.

PcGamer is just about the same, giving it a 91%. Of course the reviewers where pressed for time and couldn't fully play, so they focused on the main quest only.
Assumptions are not the truth. If you can't read a certain language, ask someone who can, and get fully informed. That's just some well-meant advise to the OP.

Seriously another complaint thready by flamechamp. Listen buddy if you don't want to play the game don't play it. But stop subjecting the community to your constant griping about a game you have never even played.

I would HIGHLY suggest not putting your e-mail address up on these boards.

Second if you are talking about Shale, there are wikis and FAQs already made on the internet.

As this is a no spoilers section, more than likely your post will be changed or removed.
