hi, I habe a problem with my keep, for the Recruitment standart keeps droping and I can't raise it again. Starting with "only the best man" the standart drop to take everyone now when I reached act 3.
Is that normal? does faerun run out of good man so I have been forced to lower the standart? Oo
cossroad keep recruitment standarts buggy?

Moved from the General Discussion forum...
As an answer, however, the recruiting standards do not drop automatically; you set the standards only during conversations. You are warned in the game during the conversation about setting standards that once you lower your standards, you cannot raise them again.

You might have also lowered your standards by accepting too many recruits, mercenaries, or conscripts into your ranks.

nop, i didn't lower them by my self. Though I did often ask for the stauts report about recrutment standart, where I also discovered the standart keeps droping each time I asked. I do always choose the option: I dont want to change the recrutment standart.
strange... I did loose some man on a special mission and I fired the sergent who took the money from some merchant... Could that chage the recrutment standart?
However, is there any cheats or consol-option to change it back. Don't want to go back to the very beginning... : /

Think a little about your decisions:
Conscripts are FORCED citizen/prisoner soldiers. Unless you're evil or needy, never do that!
I screwed up early and forgot about the frozen recruitment standard. It;s so much BS...
If I say, "Ok it's time to raise our standards" then you DO IT KANA, OR YOUR FIRED!"...
Ahem...
Regardless, your morale and equipment and who is training them also tie in together at some formula.
Always try to level up arms/armor equally to max as you find ore veins.
Use Katronia (and later, Light of Heaven) to train the men.
When you get Jalborn you can then switch Light to Patroling the roads/lands...
It's a balancing act cause you try to keep katronia free to go on special missions.
I almost always use Bevil to patrol roads/deal with merchants...
Adding mercenaries should NOT really affect your rating. Your soldiers quality will force the mercs to eventually match them and raise the up to their standard.
Making decisions that increase the morale of the men helps.
Succeeding in special missions help.
Letting that Sergeant off as a "grey area" helps.
The merchants near the end choice mostly affects your alignment shift g/n/e... IIRC
