I don't know...the character faces look off to me from what little we've seen. The eyes sort of bug out of their head or give that Uncanny Valley zombie/dead eye stare. And its like the skin looks rubbery or overly smooth such that it doesn't look natural. Hopefully that changes between now and release.
I mean look at Bethany's eyes here!

Bioware mostly avoided the uncanny valley in ME2 and DA.

Release the update for the toolset or give us full access to all the sliders in Dragon Age's face morph system.
I can make faces just fine, I need the proper tools to do it though.
No we dont need uglier girls, we already have dwarven women:devil:The Hardest Thing In The World wrote...
What? I thought most of the women in DA:O were quite pretty already. We need uglier ones, if you ask me. Oh you were speaking of the pre-generated ones. Have you seen the men? They were uglier. The pre-generated females are definitely better looking but I agree there's room for improvement there.

Not having a toolset and just using the CC to make your characters does not render the game unplayable, even though I like using the toolset for my characters.
If not having a pretty enough toon makes you not want to play the game, then go play The Sims Medieval or something.

As for PCs, one need not look further than Anarya's avatars.
The thing I wonder is did she use any PC mods, or is that just base game?

Hmm, where did I say that an ugly toon doesn't make me want to play the game? I would prefer to play a pretty PC though, real life already is average enough. The only thing that will stop me from playing an RPG is if I can't play a female character at all. Five minutes into the Witcher I uninstalled it, I'm weird like that.
ps. I hate the sims.
@adneate: I love your character, wish I could make something like that. Unfortunately I totally suck at using the morphs in the toolset.
That's because she both vaguely resembles Michael Jackson and has permanent pedosmile. Anyone would be creeped out by that.Dave of Canada wrote...
