I live in the US. I have heard the 4 in 1 boxed set for sale on Amazon is a European coded DVD set, and that you must change your computers DVD region in order to use it.
Is this true? If so are there any known US versions of the 4 in 1 sets available?

Heh, 4 in 1s available in Europe have the exact opposite issue:p I recall TotSC whining I need an U.S version in order to install it. I'm pretty sure this is an embarrassing bug brought to you by Atari,rather than anything that truly has to do with localization of the game or you buying the " wrong" version.  Either TuTU or last official patch fixes this, however. Just patch your game and I'm sure you'll have no issues with it.

in EU-region, it's the opposite, as LTD says. someone must have been drunk while packaging these CDs.



The fix (EU-side) is to apply the latest patch, try it out & see if it works for US retail.

I live in the US and bought one from amazon about a year ago. Worked fine for me rightout of the box.

Likewise. I've tried it without patching and with the latest US patch and runs normally.

I just got the 4-in-1 set on dvd to replace my old worn out copies, and aside from it trying to get me to register the game to a non-working website, the game runs fine (in the US and bought it from Amazon)

It should work fine straight out of the box, but patches have been supplied for a reason.

The read me supplied will probably explain what the reasons are.
