...Okay I'm very confused. After Jack's loyalty mission I sided with Miranda. I went back down to the ship and used the renegade persuade option on Jack. But now everytime I try to talk to her she tells me to "F*** OFF!" ...Uh...was that supposed to happen? I didn't try to romance her or anything D:

Jack is not a very nice person, and turns on you if you don't side with her. Though she won't a actually betray you. Only a really high paragon or renegade rating will let you overcome this.

I did that. I got the whole "I didn't think you were that soft blah blah blah." she agreed and I got her loyalty. But now when I go to talk to her (this is after doing Garrus' loyalty) she tells me to F*** Off. 

I'm very confused.

No, that's about right. She is loyal, but she hates you still.

Yeah, I mean she's not bad if you just talk to her. She just eventually says that she doesn't generally make friends, which is understandable considering her character.

Jack is a [female dog]. That's her personality if you don't go the route of breaking her shell and making her fall for you. She's just not a nice person.

And even if you do treat her as badly as possible, she is still willing to die for your cause.

Not really I have made 4 malesheps, 3 of which did not romance her and in all 3 no matter how nice I was it always ends in f off. Full paragon meter, all the right dialogue choices, doesnt matter. If you break off the romance with her it ends badly. Jack is an interesting but thats probably my biggest complaint with her character in that if you don't romance her there is no way of breaking down her wall. Or am I missing something?

While I have no place telling people how to play their Shepards, why not do her suicide mission, upgrade the armor, get her through the suicide mission, and simply ignore her the rest of the time?  Getting someone killed because you dislike them isn't exactly sane behavior.

No actually I don't. If I could avoid recruiting her I would. I have the same problems with her as I do Morrigan in DA. I can't call her out on most of her bluffs. 

That said most of my problems with her would be dealt with if she wasn't a forced recruit. As it is if I don't want her on my ship I'm forced to let her die. Not cool BW not cool. 

Gah. I'll just let Jacob do the bubble and have Miranda and Jack with me. That'll take care of the problem.

Yes. Totally thin skinned because I dislike a character. <_< Ra forbid. Also: Everyone is willing to die for your cause including the psycho vampire chick. It's a game mechanic. No one actually ditches you even if you completely butcher their loyalty mission.

If you choose the no romance dialogue she just tells you to stop pissing around. 

Not much of an improvement but at least that one doesn't give me the urge to strangle her.

And Shep did nothing to her. Believe or not there's people that actually had that done to them that *gasps* Don't go around cursing everyone out! 

I don't care about her being happy. I just want some basic respect. I wouldn't care so much if she wasn't forced on me. 
 
Everyone else manages to be semi-decent to your PC except her. I'd feel sorry for her but she's such a b**** that I don't care anymore. 

Hell I've started warming up to Miranda in my latest playthrough (still I think her romance is just sooo awkward (to me) I can't do it.) every single crewmember (well except the vamp) I've seen some good sides to them without a romance. 

The fact that you have to romance Jack to see such is pretty damning to her character.

She finishes conversations with 'Whatever' when I talk to her.



But yeah, the dialogue selection if you don't romance her leaves her distant.

It's almost best to say 'no' after 'If this is about sex...' then never continue any of the conversation dialogue.

Then she finishes everything with 'Maybe I'll be here...'.



Which is about as friendly as she gets.

Seriously though, she's awesome. If you haven't done a playthrough with a romance, TRY IT! Once you've had Jack, you'll never go back...



OR..



Once you've had ZERO, you'll never go solo....it doesn't rhyme, in fact..it doesn't flow much at all. Never mind. That sounded way better in my head. Ignore please.

Uh...no you can't. I've recruited everyone I could and the Horizon mission refused to trigger until I got Jack. 

...Or is it possible to do some N7 missions instead of recruiting her? 

Believe me I tried turning around and heading out the door Shep came through. It was plot locked.

That's totally what I meant dude. Because everyone else including Miranda at the beginning of the game is like "OMG YOU SO SPECIAL!" including one of my favorite characters Aria. She's totally fanning over Shep at the beginning of the game. Practically groveling at his feet. 

Dude. People can decide that they don't like Jack. The world isn't ending because someone doesn't like a character you do.
